3 beeps My refrigerator is making a 3 beep noise every couple of minutes. Also sometimes when I open the door (refrigerator or freezer side) it is dark (no light, no sensor lights at the top). The bulb is fine. Can you help?

I have the Kitchenaid KSCS25FSBL-B, purchased it two weeks ago from R.C. Willey....dark inside, makes a few ice cubes at random, no digital read-out, 3 beeps, every few mintues....seems to be keeping things cool enough on the refridgerator side....

We had a technician out that took the light switch out and it did not solve the problem. He asked that we turn the ice maker to the off position to see if that solves the problem. Please advise.

Ours is a KSSC42FMS01 and is two years old. Last week it beeped and the interior lights don't come on when the door(s) are opened. Pushing the overtemp button, lights come on and stay on for about 5 minutes with door closed. After 5 minutes the lights are again out.

We purchased a Kitchen Aid frig off the floor at a reduced price as it was a "floor model."  Got it home and noticed a weird beeping that we could not identify.  We thought it was perhaps a smoke detector in the house that needed a new battery.  After going through the process of elimination, we discovered that it was the refrigerator.  It makes 3 beeps in succession in a random time period.  Quite annoying.  We are contacting the store in the morning.

I have had this happen on this refrigerator twice in 4 months. Both times they have replaced both the main circuit board (in the back) and the display board. It solves the problem for a short time, but it seems like this is going to happen again. In addition to this, I have had the ice dispenser replaced, apparently it's another common problem on this model. My other problem is getting frozen foods in the refrigerator, usually on the top or back of the shelves. I'm thankful I got the extended warranty from Sears. One more call out for the beeping problem and they'll refund my money.

We had the same problem. Our fridge was beeping and the lights would not come on. To stop the beeping and turn the lights back on we had to press the OVER TEMPERATURE RESET button. As soon as we did this, the lights came back on and beeping stopped. Hope this helps.

Yes, we had the same problem. Just press the OVER Temperature Reset, it works. Yeah!

Now I believe it is because my wife is cleaning the refrigerator and keep the door open for too long. So it's the OVER TEMPERATURE alarm, and the lights are off too.

Same exact problem here with my KSCS25INSS side by side. After 10 minutes the three beeps, open the door and all the lights are off, including the display lights. The manual states "The interior lights will turn off if either compartment door is open for more than 10 minutes. Simply close and open the door to turn on the interior lights." OK, so when I give the door a good firm shut, it usually resets back to normal, for another 10 minutes, then back to the same problem. Closer inspection of the refrigerator door shows that it is slightly lower than the freezer door. Maybe the seal is not good enough because it is sitting low and the refrigerator senses that the door is open. So, I raised the door a bit with adjusting bolt at the bottom right of the door. No more beeping, problem solved. Try this first before calling a technician.

We had the same problem and discovered that the fridge side door was knocked by the movers and consequently the door was not shutting the light off.  We only saw it because all the lights were out and we could see light escaping through the imperfect seal that was also a result.  I loosened the bolts, moved the door slightly so it engaged the shut-off and now no beeps.

Found this on another sight:

A Lady in Kitchen Aid has been a great help, I have sent a letter about her help in several matters involving Kitchen Aid Products to her boss, I have put in all Kitchen Aid Products in my remodeled kitchen. Her name is Angel (Believe me she is one) 1-800-446-2574 Ex-7926.

Your problem is the water filter, check and make sure it is installed properly, also check inside the refer on the countdown on your filter and see where it is. If you are not sure the filter is install properly, remove it and push it in until it clicks. If this does not take care of your problem Angel will help you get a solution.

GE refrigerator constant irregular beeping

It looked like your model does NOT have an external ice/water control panel which has caused beeping problems on some models.
For your model I would try the following....
Door Alarm
The main cause of a beeping GE unit is an open refrigerator door. Some models are equipped with an internal door alarm, which trips when the door remains open for 3 minutes or longer.
One way to check this .... put your smartphone in the refrigerator on video mode and close the door. The light should go off with the door shut. If the video shows that the light stayed on when the door was closed ... then it reinforces that something is wrong with the switch/alarm. Repeat video for the freezer.
Door Seal
If beeping persists after the freezer or refrigerator door is closed, the door seals may be blocked or so dirty that the internal door alarm is tripped. The seals can be cleaned with a soft cloth and warm, soapy water. Also, an item inside the refrigerator may be preventing the door from fully closing.
Cooling System
Reactivating the refrigerator's cooling system includes a beeping noise. When the refrigerator is off, the "Off/Off" light appears on the door display. When the "Adjust Freezer" and "Energy Saver" buttons are held down for approximately 3 seconds at the same time the beep sounds and the "Off/Off" indicator disappears. Hold the "Ice Off" and "Freezer" buttons to activate the cooling system inside of the fresh food compartment. A beep signals the system is activated. The beeping should stop after the cooling system turns on. If it fails to stop, try unplugging the power cord to reset the connection.
Power
The GE's internal door alarm can get stuck. Try unplugging the refrigerator for about 10 seconds and then plug it back in. If the beeping continues, the internal door alarm might be broken or defective. Contact the manufacturer or a technician for further assistance. One way to check this .... put your smartphone in the refrigerator on video and close the door. The light should go off with the door shut. If the video shows that the light stayed on when the door was closed ... then it reinforces that something is wrong with the switch/alarm.

Good luck on your troubleshooting!

Hey my Samsung cooltech plus is making beeping noises fridge temperature is jumping from one temperature to another while the beeping noise is going on. Can anyone please help me thank you

Fridge keeps beeping or buzzing: The following is for Frigidaire models but others can be addressed similarly.

Several Frigidaire refrigerator models have an electronic control panel on the freezer door the owner can use to adjust the internal temperature, dispense ice and water and receive notification about issues such as the need to replace a water filter. The refrigerators also emit a beep for various actions and as an occasional alarm. Determining what causes the beeps necessitates some troubleshooting.
Temperature Controls ·A Frigidaire refrigerator's display panel blinks when the control panel is touched to set temperature controls. After pressing "Freezer Temp" or "Refrigerator Temp" on the keypad, press the arrow buttons within five seconds to increase or decrease the desired temperature. If you do not press the arrow buttons within five seconds after pressing "Freezer Temp" or "Refrigerator Temp" on the keypad, the refrigerator beeps to indicate the current setting will stay in place.

Door Open ·When you leave the refrigerator or freezer door open, the refrigerator beeps. Also, the "Door Ajar" indicator illuminates on the appliance's display panel. Shutting the door and pressing "Alarm Reset" stops the beeping and turns off the "Door Ajar" indicator light.
·The Frigidaire refrigerator has a control lock feature that prevents use of its control panel or dispensers when the unit is locked. When the control lock is active, a beep sounds when a keypad or dispenser is pressed. Release the control lock by pressing the "Control Lock" icon for three seconds. A beep will sound, and the icon's light will go out.
Power Reset ·A power reset is occasionally necessary if the Frigidaire refrigerator's control panel does not work normally or a reset function on the keypad does not work. A power reset involves disconnecting power to the refrigerator by unplugging its power cord from the electrical outlet, waiting 30 seconds and plugging the power cord back into the electrical outlet. When the control panel resets, a beep sounds. If the refrigerator beeps even after a power reset and the beeps' source is not known, contact Frigidaire.

My refrigerator beeps every five seconds...then repeats in a minute. I checked that both doors are shut and nothing is blocking the shutting doors.

try checking to make sure the door button is not stuck when you open the door. The beeping means the indicator is reading an open door. Also check the freezer side.

Beeping sound coming from control panel model#10656562400

Hi!
Self-defrosting refrigerators use a circulating fan to move the air through the freezer and refrigerator compartments. This fan runs whenever the unit is cooling. The fan is located in the freezer.
Over time, the fan may become noisy--usually making a chirping or squealing sound, though it may make a loud groaning noise instead.

To find out if the fan is causing the noise, just open the freezer door and push any fan/light switches. If the noise is louder when the door is open, the evaporator fan motor is the cause which can't be lubricated or repair instead required to be replaced.

Please do rate this solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
