The only reason your cursor would "freeze" is your CPU is running at 100%. Press "control-alt-delete" keys at the same time and find the process that overloading the CPU and close it.
If you cursor never moves, your glidepad is broken. Do you have a "stick" to move your cursor? Many Thinkpads do. Usually have a red cap on it and is located near the b g h keys. If the stick doesn't work either, it's the overloaded CPU problem.

Lenovo 2.0 laptop cursor is frozen

Hi Julia.

Have you tried restarting your computer? The manual for your device shows there's a keyboard command to turn the cursor on or off.

Fn + F6

Frozen cursor

Hit reset or hold the power button down until it turns off, turn it back on and if the cursor is still frozen you may have a problem with you touch pad.

Frozen touchpad

I followed the advice of pressing the FN and F7 keys at the same time. It didn't work when the program was fully loaded, but I rebooted and tried again during the rebooting and it worked. I had the frozen cursor on the Travel Mate (Acer) also.
