Frozen cursor - IBM ThinkPad T42 Notebook

Hi Julia.

Have you tried restarting your computer? The manual for your device shows there's a keyboard command to turn the cursor on or off.

Fn + F6

Hit reset or hold the power button down until it turns off, turn it back on and if the cursor is still frozen you may have a problem with you touch pad.

Hook a external mouse, if okay! do a system restore and take computer back before this occured.

double click the top left corner of the touch pad (there should be a yellow light that is illuminated when the cursor is frozen or locked).

unplug all power and battery and try again

Cursor not move or frozen.very interesting.Problem operating systems or system unite.Service it and install new windows.

I followed the advice of pressing the FN and F7 keys at the same time. It didn't work when the program was fully loaded, but I rebooted and tried again during the rebooting and it worked. I had the frozen cursor on the Travel Mate (Acer) also.

try using your external mouse to reinstall the touchpad driver. in almost all cases i've seen of this it has fixed the problem.
