This worked for me on an F60 and someone else on an F30. Re: Check Printer error message on Canon MultiPass by watsonk (6/7/05 11:16 PM) reply + / - It could be due to "waste tank full" alarm; you may need to reset the waste tank counter. I found a reset sequence for a MP730 printer in this website that works for F30 as well. Try: Resetting the Waste Ink Volume Counter 1) Enter SERVICE MODE.--- By pressing Menu-Copy-# 2) Select TEST MODE. 3) Select [8] PRINTER TEST in TEST MODE. 4) Select 3. [EEPROM CLEAR]. 5) Select 0. [INK COUNT]. 6) Press the [OK] key. 7) Press the [Stop/Reset] key (returning to the state of 3)), and then press the [ON/OFF] key. Skip step (6) since there is no [OK] key on F30 printers.

Canon f80 multipass New five years ago never

Are you using Windows Vista or Windows 7? If so, the driver download page at Canon does not provide drivers beyond XP. Otherwise, go back to the XP (or earlier versions) driver downlaod site and download the MultiPASS F80 Software User's Guide. That may provide the answer to your problem. Also, if you are using unpopular, proprietary software programs the driver may not recognize the commands. Good Luck!

MultiPASS F80

Just to be sure, these are the drivers you've tried from Canon? Follow this link: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=OSCompatibilityArchiveAct&fcategoryid=2125&keycode=windr Click on F80 Assuming those aren't working - what kind of error are you getting? I've looked for drivers elsewhere, but everyone seems to have the same driver. If you can give me more specifics on exactly what you're doing, and what kind of errors you're getting, I should be able to walk you through setting it up though.

If i restore my dell inspiron 9400 to its original factory settings will it delete XP updated files received over the past couple of years and will it affect my security McAffe that i subscibe to?

Yes it will. I suggest that you download Windows XP SP2, and Windows XP SP3 and save to an external USB key or burn to a CD-R. If you save the downloads to your HD, restoring to factory settings will most likely overwrtite your HD. So with that. I also suggest that you backup all your personal data, such as documents, pictures, favorite, email contact list, emal messages, and any other personal data that you will need.

Once you have finished the restore to factory process, place the USB key or CD-R in the slots/drive, and install SP2 first, check no restart button, then install SP3. Reboot and now do your Windows Updates.

The reason I suggest sp2, then sp3 before running Windows update, is to save you time getting your unit back in production. If you did a Windows update after the restore to factory process, you would most likely be prompted to download and install SP2, then all the patches and updates would follow fro sp2. This way sp2 updates sp1, then sp3 updates sp2, and finally the updates and security patches for sp3 are all you need.

McAfee - Again download the software to a USB key or CD-R. Before you start the restore, open McAfee, select help, about, and print out or write down your subscription key. You will need these when you reinstall McAfee on your restored unit.

Hope this helps.............

God Bless !!!!!!!

Canon Multipass F80 printer. "Check printer press resume key"

On the f80 you need a shop to go to service mode and get the error code and tell you what the problem is. Could be purge assembly, waste ink full, feeder error, printhead error, any number of possible problems.

Hard drive failure required rebuild of XP Home on Dell computer. XP Home updated to SP3. Canon Multiplass F80 printer will not now work. I downloaded latest XP drivers from Canon web site, but installation...

I found that some Windows Plug and Play services were note running and were set to start 'manually'. I started those services which seemed related to Plug and Play, and the installation went without further errors.
