A couples of months ago I noticed the fuel tank flapper valve was not there anymore. Today my check engine light came on, could the missing valve have anything to do with the check engine light? If it does, can I get a new fuel flapper valve? Where?
THe flapper valve will be part of the filler housing and it will require the replacing of that end of the filler tube. Possible get a 2nd hand one fromk the wreckers THe flapper will be on the bottom of the tank and I cannot see any connection to the engine light which would have come on immediately if there was a connection. Run fault codes to determine which sensor./ servo put the light on

Have the codes read to find out the fault code that triggers the light. Go to a mechanic, or your local auto parts superstore and have them check it. Hope this helps.

Hyundia are the best car in the world. Sorry, but they are getting better. I haven't heard of a harness issue. anyway the coils have the ground in common, but the hot wires are separate. probably got there coil packs from china( junk). And I have seen coil packs break down one after the other on different models. Hopefully the dealer is using a better grade of coils. You might even ask them to go ahead and replace the rest of them, seeing there is an issue there. You just never know.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
First, I suggest that you remove the positive battery connector and let it sit for at least 5mins. before reconnecting it. This will reset the system and can get your vehicle back to it's normal operation.
If the problem still persists, I suggest that you have the fuel filter replaced. Remember them tapping the tank? It may have loosen dirt and rust in the filter that's why she fired up again. But it won't last long for the dirt and rust will surely clogged the fuel filter again.
If removing the positive connector doesn't resolves it then go for the fuel filter replacement.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!
