Image 10.0 treadmill incline not working

I have an image 10.0 treadmill and the incline does not work. Pushing the incline button and the motor runs but the treadmill does not rise. I pulled the motor and tested it. Motor and lifting bar work fine. Put it back in the machine and tightened everything down but still no luck. I can manually pull the treadmill up but it just falls back down when I let go. Is there a locking mechanism or something to hold it at the desired level or is the motor suppose to do that? I've looked at the exploded view of the user manual as well and it looks like all the parts are there. I'm confused, any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have a stripped drive gear on the lift motor, order a new incline motor, install it and then calibrate it and you should be fine.

Incline works, belt not moving

You can check if your motor works but putting a 35A rectifier bridge at a 110VAC power source and connect the motor. Motors are usually 180VDC. So if it moves, it's OK. If it does, you should also place your hand on it to see if the operation is smooth. 21ccd37b-fec8-406d-bd2f-a1ea7fd624fa.png

Nordic. Track incline won't work or calibrate

I have a NordicTrack C2155. Incline not working. There is a schematic inside. There are red, white, & black wires from the circuit board to the incline motor. Unplug the treadmill and have a licensed electrician construct a flying lead cord with a male spade on neutral and female spade plug on hot. Connect neutral to white and hot to where either red or black were connected. Plug in to see if the motor runs. Careful to remove power when the incline reaches its limit and reverse direction. If the motor runs in both directions, the motor is good. Follow the black two conductor wire to the circuit board and unplug from board. Check continuity across this switch. Run motor and this should toggle off and on. If all this checks out then the problem must be with the circuit board. On my treadmill, the schematic says that +5v should supply the sensor, but I only get +3.3v, which is TTL level. The drive motor sensor supply is +5v. The incline motor doesn't even show a sign of trying to run. Either the output transistor is burnt out or the low voltage caused an error so that it does not try to run the motor. Either way, I'm quite certain that a new controller board will remedy the problem.

My incline doesn't work

Does it make any noise? You can always isolate the incline motor from the rest of the treadmill and use a 110v jumper cord from white to black or white to red and check to see if the incline motor works with the jumper cord. If so than you know the problem is in the electrical of the treadmill.

My 17.0 R image incline stuck in the highest mode, how do I bring it down.

If the incline moves but only just a bit, it could be a problem as simple as the gearbox on the motor being jammed. We remove the motor from the treadmill, reconnect the wiring, and then try to run the incline motor outside the treadmill. Many times, this will unjam it if that is the problem and then reinstalling it in the treadmill will get it to work. If you have the same problem or it doesn’t run outside the machine and you can hear it try to work, you need to replace the incline motor.

I have a Image 15.5 Treadmill, it turn on, Incline...

First we need to do a calibration follow this procedure
Press the Stop and the Speed Up keys down while inserting the safety key.
Press the Stop key one time. The Time window should read EP:2P. Some newer models may also say FP, Pass, or the like. This means that it passes the EPROM test.
Press either incline key and the incline will calibrate automatically.
THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT STEP BECAUSE YOU WILL GET AN ERROR MESSAGE IF THIS STEP IS SKIPPED. After completing calibration of incline, press the Stop key and then remove the safety key.
If the incline moves but you it will not operate normally nor calibrate, check the wiring from the incline sensor to the power board. If all looks normal, put it back in calibration and see if you see a blinking “- -” symbol in the incline window when you are calibrating. If not, the incline sensor is bad call icon Fitness @ 800-999-3756, they may have the sensor or they tell you, you need to replace the incline motor

Image 17.0 Treadmill is stuck in incline position and will not go down. I do not plan to use the include at all, is there a manual way to move the incline to 0? Any suggestions?

Hello there, The first thing I would try is to calibrate the incline on the unit.
Do this using the following procedure.
With the safety key out, press the stop button along with the speed up button while inserting the safety key onto the unit.
remove your fingers from all buttons, Then press the stop button one time. Now press the incline up button one time.
The unit should go all the way to the top, then return to the bottom.
Remove the safety key and reinsert it to continue using the machine

If this does not work you can manually move the machine to the bottom using this procedure.
Remove the hood cover b removing 2 screws in the rear of the machine and removing the first 2 screws on the foot rails on each side.
You can now lift the cover out of the way.
At this point you will see the incline motor located in the center of the unit pointing in a downward direction.
On the top of the motor there will be a small fan encased inside of a metal cover. There will be a flat head screw located inside the metal frame where the fan is. Rotate this clockwise to lower the unit. (the motor is geared very high it may not seem as though it is moving but it is) be patient that procedure does take a little while.
Any questions please feel free to leave another message on this link.

Good Luck! Tim

My treadmill's incline goes up and down but the treadmill will not start. What could be the problem?

The motor controller. If everything works but the belt will not turn, that's 99.99% your problem. I can get you a controller and walk you through replacing it. [email protected]

Treadmill incline error

Try this, it fixed it for me, if it doesn't work let me know
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIIxoPtvhy8

I bought a used Precor 9.4 treadmill, but the incline adjustment was not working.
So, I did the following.
1. Turn off, unplug the treadmill and wait for an hour (this is for safety
2. Remove the black motor cover
3. Observe the transformer to the right of the motor and towards the belt ( I point to it in the video)
This transformer converts DC electricity to AC electricity and the AC current goes directly to the Incline motor which is in the black box towards the front of the machine.
4. On mine the wires had come loose from the transformer, they were soldered on very poorly, the wires are stiff and you should be able to see 4 wires coming from the top of the circuit board and plugging into the transformer, I had three of the 4 wires loose.
5. If you are not comfortable working with electronics or soldering DO NOT DO THIS REPAIR, you could get shocked very badly if you just go poking around in there with metal objects, get a friend who knows how to solder or hire someone.

6. It took about 5 minutes I just heated up my $10 soldering gun from radio shack and soldered all the loose wires that were about a millimeter away from the tabs on the back of the transformer, and VOILA! The incline now works!
