Water fountaian will not work

We had the same problem. My husband took a small black plug out of the pump hose. He said it should have been punched out of the fitting, but it wasn't. When we took it out, our pump started to work beautifully. Good luck.

It is presumably a submerged pump. Cleaning the pond could have accidentally blocked the pump inlet or damaged or dislodged the supply pipe.
Time to wade in and take a look...

You can try to force prime with a garden hose. Put the hose in ether side suction or discharge.

There are several ways to troubleshoot this. If you remove the cartridge from the filter, you would be able to see if that is the problem. If the flow is the same without the cartridge, then there is a lack of flow into the pump , or a blockage in the outlet, if the pump presure is high, more likely the blockage is in that return line to the pool. Make sure all the selector valves are open.

Back flow preventer (check valve) in pump is failed.
