Normally dehumidifiers collect the water that they have pulled from the air in the tank. Therfore no hose is required. You just have to empty the tank when full. Most models have a float switch which shuts off the machine when the tank is full. Hoses to get rid of water are normally only fitted on industrial machines.
See page 7 on the user manual to set the humidity level and the unit will then operate within the set humidity range. You can also set the timer to make it shut off automatically after a specific time.
