Ineed the diagram for a 42 inch deck troy bilt

Most TroyBilt mowers conveniently have belt part numbers on a label underneath the hood. Enter the part number at TroyBilt parts page https://www.troybilt.com/equipment/troybilt/OwnersCenterLandingView?catalogId=14102&langId=-1&storeId=10001 and it will likely have belt length in the description.

Mtd doesn't sell the belts by size, you look up the Model number and you will find a part number for the belt. (www.partstree.com) (model number is usually under the seat of the mower.)

no fire , sounds like your having a problem with one of the safety switches on mower deck ckt look under tractor but over mower deck for a loose or hanging wire bet it goes to a switch ?

Hi,

You will find the diagram on the left side of the deck as you sit on tractor by left foot. It will be located under the foot pedal that has the routing diagram specifically for your Troy-Bilt mower model. Note that owner's manuals may not have the most current schematic.
