The way it worked for me was:
LCD Monitor: used wire harness with power cable (red and black) and 2 yellow video cables
DVD player one end: used wire harness with power cable (red and black) and
DVD Player second end: used wire harness with a/v cables ie yellow, red and white

then connected the power cables to cigratte lighter
and connected yellow video output of DVD player second end to the LCD monitor video 2 yellow cable.

The monitor only headrest does not have audio handling circuitry in it. the wire harness for that side is the one with the red and black wire, and the two video inputs, not the harness with the red and black wire and the three RCA jacks. It will function on the wrong harness, but it is not the correct one.

The DVD headrest has two harnesses. One of them is for power and output, the other is for input only from another source. The harness with the red and black wire has the three RCA outputs... the video lead goes to the other headrest, and the audio can be fed to an aux input on a stereo or amplifier. The input harness is designed to be Video 2 input from either a gaming system (a Game Cube is a nice option), or another DVD or video source (hand held video device such as iPod or Smart Phone like a HTC Touch Pro 2).

To get sound out of the stereo, either run the audio output from the headrest to the aux input on your stereo, or cycle the FM transmit options using the FMTX button on the DVD player unit to a station you can tune to on your car's FM radio.

If you have inputs on the back of your stereo you can run a pair or rca cables(red and white to thatinput and you will have sound.

2012 honda cvcc headrest

I had the same problem with mine and already having a herniated disc in my neck didn't help. What I did was unzip the back of the seat cover and insert some foam into the back of the seat. This pushed the front of the seat out just enough to keep the headrest from pushing my head forward. It only cost a few dollars and you can't tell by looking at the seat that I did anything at all to it. Now it's very comfortable and my neck is happy. Only thing is I don't think you can do this to the front passenger seat without interfering with the airbag sensor. At least that's what I would surmise based on the fact that they didn't put the seat heater in the back of that seat for that reason. But I never ride in the passenger seat so it's not an issue for me and no one else has complained about it. Now that I've fixed this one problem I love my Civic.

How do you remove the headrest on a 1998 daewoo

hi normally you can do this by...pulling the headrest top its maximum height , at the bottom you should see two black plastic rings, on either side of these rings are little partitions push these inward and pull the headrest at the same it can be a bit awkward but if you do one side at a time or get someone to pull the headrest while you push the clips in can be very helpfull...hope this helps please vote thanks

I got dual (forj) headrests the sound works on the one that has the dvd in it but not the one that does not, the rca jacks are hooked up to it, it has speakers in it, does it even have sound?

Front Headrests

There is a plastic cover, about 1 1/8" diameter, on the base of the post on each side. You can remove it with a screw driver by carefully prising upwards at the edge. They just clip down.
Once these are lifted away from the seat, you will see the wire clip that locks the headrest into the seat. Remove the clip on each post, and you can then remove the headrest.
Reassembly is the reverse.
