to remove door trim you have to disconnect negative battery cable.then remove two screws attaching arm rest to door trim.remove arm rest it held in place by front and rear hooks that fit into slots in door trim.to release the hooks grasp the arm rest with both hands push it towards thr door pull up on the side of the arm rest facing door.remove four speaker grille mounting screws and the grille.then remove door trim panel screwss from bottom edge of the panel.remove the three remote control plate screws from the plate and the single screw in the rear edge of the door.then lift up on the door trim panel to release the molding from the top edge of the door then slide the panel forward to clear the latch release handle and down to clear the lock rod knob.if job look to difficult let a body shop fix.removing window door motor need tools to drill out rivets and reinstall rivots you need special tools to fix window motor and regulator.
My door is also STUCK SHUT, I cant open it from the inside or outside. I understand I need to remove the door panel to fix the issue, but I need the door open to remove the panel. YOU NEED CLIP REMOVAL TOOL TO REMOVE WINDOW CRANK HANDLE.YOU NEED DOOR PANEL FLAT TOOL REMOVE DOOR PANEL HATE TO SAY DOOR PANEL HAS AT LEAST 8 CLIPS LOCATIONS 4 CLIPS AT THE BOTTOM PANEL 2 CLIPS ON BOTH SIDES DOOR PANEL. YOU HAVE TO REMOVE 2 SCREWS HOLDING DOOR PULL CUP.YOU HAVE RELEASE CLIP BEHIND DOOR HANDLE USING TRIM TOOL.IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE GETTING DOOR PANEL OFF.HAYNES REPAIR MANUAL CAN HELP.
After you have made sure that all the screws are out there are little christmas tree looking clips that hold the door paned on. Just pull out on the panel, then push up on the panel and release the top.
You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle,
arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the
panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want
to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal
(can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to
access everything inside the door
the door panel needs to be replaced to correctly fix it. I guess you could go and glue the door panel back together. The dealership is going to put the vehicle back into factory condition. Usually when side air bags blow, the way the door panel is meant to tear it would make sense just to glue it back together as long as the leather doesn't tear
Unfortunately you have too release the door panel to carry out this simple replacement.
remove screw from behind small panel inside door release handle (small screwdriver ti flip out little cover)
Remove two screws from inside door puller (one you use to close door) these are also under a small panel you remove this also with small screwdriver.
Then you will have to pull door penal away from the fixings usually done with a special tool but is quite poss-able with fingers.
Do not use a screwdriver you will just cause damage and break fixing clips.
Take care as their are wires feeding other equipment you do not need to remove panelcompletely.
Release cable to mirror
Remove three nuts holding mirror to door these are behind plastic quarterpanel.
Repeat process to put on new mirror 20 minutes max.
