What is the condition of the yoke part. Is it still functional? Try getting one on eBay, like this part:

I have a 2005 dodge ram 1500 hemi, when I go to accelerate the truck takes off very sluggish as if dragging something or brakes are stuck however once it gets going it performs better at higher rpms....

Raise the rear wheels and see if they spin as freely forward, as
reverse.

YOU COULD BE HAVING ENGINE MISFIRE.DUE TO BAD SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES.ALSO DIRTY FUEL INJECTORS WILL CAUSE ENGINE TO ROUGH IDLE OR IDLE UP AND DOWN.PUT A BOTTLE OF FUEL INJECTOR CLEAN IN A FULL TANK OF GAS.ALSO CHANGE PLUGS AND WIRES.IF TRUCK HAS 30000 TO 60000 MILES ON IT.THATS THE SCHEDULE MAINTENCE INTERVALS IF SPARK PLUGS HAS NOT BEEN CHANGED.
