I have a asus g50 centrino2 nvidia graphics card 9800 with 1/2 a gig memory. i think i erased "drivers"? so the top buttons that cycle through bjust touch for like turnig off the keyboards mouse pad (touch pad) and cycling through power options do not work anymore. where can i download this or find out what it is called to get it? thanks

There is only one slot for your video card but you can get dual power of graphics by adding Nvidia Geforce 9800 gtx2 card.

You need to know what graphics card is in it. I think it is either a ati or geforce. go to asus website. look for support and find the drivers for it click on this website . http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx

How much memory can you allot for the video, check in BIOS and assign the Max possible. I don't think any extra graphic card is needed since nvidia nforce hraphics supports VGA memory to about 256-512 MB, which is enough for good display considering you have 4 GB RAM installed.....sodeep

Go to My Computer, C Drive, Nvidia folder
Delete everything in the Nvidia folder

Go back to Nvidia's website and re-download the latest driver for the Geforce 9 Series card and try installing again

Micky go to your suport page and download the driver, Download the DRIVER AGENT OR DRIVER MAX and will do. 

You will be fine with nVidia 9800 ! thats perfect for your mobo.
Youst make sure you have enough of memory to, those games you talking about needs a lot of memory to work perfect.
I suggest you install at least 3GB memo, or even better 4GB. Thats the maximum of memory you can have on that mobo.

The 831 only supports 2 gigs of ram any more and it wont start. You can probably fit a 9800 in it but would be a very tight fit.

The memory on your card is beginning to fail. There is no repair for it, and it's time to let it retire.

You should be able to find a new 5700 or similar still in most computer shops. Pricing is the big problem with them costing far more then an equivalent PCI-e model.
