Did you shake the toner cartridge before installing in the printer? Sometimes the toner will clump in the cartridge due to shipping etc., and needs to be shaken to loosen it up.

A 976.xx error can be caused by IPv6 (i.e., internet protocol version 6) compatibility issues. It is possible to resolve this issue by disabling IPv6 in the Network Menu.

This is a generic error message that can be recorded for a wide variety of problems. Basically, any time the Report Server has problems initiating an application it will record this message along with:
- Application name (i.e. WindowsService_21, WindowsService_13, WindowsService_8)

Why do you want to reset it? For not using original Lexmark Cartridges? A lot of the newer printers will not work with compatible cartridges, regardsless of what the sellers of such cartridges tells you. You might want to try the following:

Power off the printer.
Hold the cancel (red) button in while powering on. Keep the cancel button in for atleast 10 seconds. On some Lexmark printers this will reset the cartridge error, but it does not work on all Lexmarks

Lexmark and Brother printers, dont have any thing I know of to reset the inks when you refill them your-self sorry.

1. Turn off the printer. 2. Press and hold (check) and .(right arrow). 3. Turn on the printer. 4. Release the buttons when Performing Self Test displays. The message CONFIG MENU displays on the top line of the operator panel. 5. Select Reset Maintenance Count from the Configuration menu. 6. The message Reset Maint Cnt=Reset displays momentarily. Press (check) to reset. When the reset operation is complete, the menu returns to the Printer Setup Reset Maintenance Count Screen. Scroll down to the Exit Configuration Menu and Press Select to Return to Ready status.
