I tried to login and a couple pf seconds later i get a box that says "Connection Error: Please ensure device time is correct." Can somebody help me please! thank you

if your yahoo messenger is unable to connect, it all depends on firewall
that blocks messenger connectivity. Try this open yahoo messenger> click on messenger> click on connection preferences> select no proxies>

Install older version of yahoo messenger.. And let me tell your one thing that, when to try to login to your yahoo account on yahoo messenger, your internet connection must be responding. This you can ensure by keeping your server busy(opening websites). The problem you are telling might be caused when you are trying to login to yahoo account through yahoo messenger and yahoo mail. I recommend you that you open yahoo account through yahoo mail(only if you are unable to sign in to yahoo account through yahoo messenger.) yahoo mail now-a-days is providing yahoo chat service when you sign in your yahoo account on yahoo mail. at left side of your mail box you can see yahoo mini messenger.

Connection Problems;
1. Open your Internet Explorer
2. Go to Tools > Internet Options then click the Connections tab
3.Click the LAN Settings button and a new dialog box will open
4. At the new dialog box, look for the Proxy server checkbox, if this

Change your messenger connection settings. I had to check "Connect via a proxy server " in order to sing in.
Goto Connection Prefrences and use a http proxy.

It might do this because it cant recognize the internet. Mine does this from time to time too, but I'm not sure if I get that particular error.
Try a couple things.
1. Totally close down Yahoo! and open it back up. See if that helps.
2. If you have a Wireless connection, shut your computer down and basically reboot the connection. Unplug your modem, then your router. Wait 15-30 seconds, then plug in your modem. Wait for the lights to all become solid, plug the router back in, then turn your computer on.
Sometimes a router will stop recognizing your computer. I've had it happen to me, and the odd part of it was I could still browse the net, but not use my IMs.
3. If nothing else works, uninstall and reinstall Yahoo! IM. It may just be a glitch.
