My Archos will not connect with my Polaroid TV's channel emitter? Their program when setting it up does not include the Polaroid brand. Does anyone have any Ideals Mardie, OK

Oh boy. here is the problem. i have also a 106240 IR/UHF receiver/transmitter that changes the channels in the satellite box from another room so i can watch them in a second tv at channel 4. the original remote for the 106240 is broken and i bought another UHF remote #153638. So i need to program the new remote to work and link with the 106240 receiver, NOT the satellite box or the tv. Is there any expert here to enlighten us how can be done ? Very simple question :how to program the remote 153638 to link with the 106240. Thank you in advance
Presumably you'd open up the remote and test it with a volt/ohm meter, but you'll need the device's schematic for that. A quick way to ensure the remote is working: Look through the viewfinder of a camcorder while it is aimed at the remote'd emitter. You'll be able to view the IR beam to ensure that all buttons work -- and to an extent you can view the beam's strength.
sounds like the remote batteries could be bad or the buttons on the remote need to be cleaned. some JVC TV remotes, I'm not familiar with this particular one though, can be cleaned using a clean pencil eraser. Be careful opening the remote because some parts can fall out or you can damage the connections to the LED emitter that sends the signal to the TV. Also the solder connections on that LED could be bad.
I would also replace 2sa992 (2pcs) and 2sc1845 on preamp board- sometimes they look ok when you test them by regular meter. Check 1.2 kOm and 4.7ohm resistors at preamp pcb. Check diodes on output pcb (could be smd type, connected from base of output transistors to emitter i think)
Hi William,
To confirm if the remote control is working fine, aim the infrared emitter of the remote control to your cellphone camera, press any button key and check if the infrared will flash to your camera. Watch this video on how to do this trick.
Also, does the front panel button key of the TV isn't working?

pop the side off headset and insert two battires then turn it on ....pop bottom off emitter insert two battries flip swith up one notch to turn it on........the headphones are just an fm radio...push middle button to scan channels and bottom button to change bands...........the emitter sends on an fm signal which the headphones will pick up when you pickup the right channel signal........turn the headset on and off with the volume knob.........if you leave either one on 24 hrs the battries will die since there is no usb power cord as promised in the manuel so be sure to turn both off when not in use
Not sure if this will help you or not, but I have a 404 and was having issues with the scheduler changing the channels for me also. Then I realized that it is a infrared transmitter - the same frequency as a remote I realized what I was doing wrong - Your archos station must be facing the cable box that it is turning on. I had my archos on top of the cable box and it was not working - but when I turned the cable box and the archos station to face each other - so the signal can transfer - it worked just fine. Hope that helps!
If you can not find a service manual, look for the emitter resistors connected to the outputs. They are usually small value like .22 ohms. There should be one from the emitter of the 2SA3281 and one on the 2SC3281 emitters. These two resistors will connect together at the end opposite the emitter. Sometimes these resistors will be combined into one 3 legged resistor. If you can find these resistors, then measure the DC voltage across one of the resistors in the channel that was not bad. This is your reference. Then compare this to the same resistor in the channel you repaired. Here is a simplified diagram. You are looking for RE

The other thing you need to check is the DC voltage from the center of these two emitter resistors to ground. It should be very close to zero.
You do not need to replace the other set of transistors.
All measurements should be taken with the volume turned all the way down.
first pull out the power transistor then biased the output terminal. base, emitter have dc volts .4 to .5 collector to emitter have full voltage. if this voltage are in ur pre amp buy new trasistor
