Car not starting after car runs for a while and weather is hot

Car runs fine except in hot weather it runs fine, then when I stop it and shop and go back to it it will not start. If I let it set for a few hours it will start gain. This started 2 years ago and only does it when weather is hot. Took it to shop a few times and always told to it stops and not run at all. The car is a 1995 Lincoln Town Car.

It sounds like a fuel pump issue. When the pump gets hot it stops producing, or produces less. I'd have it checked out.

Sounds like a bad ground connection on your starter

Have the starter tested because it sounds like a bad solenoid in the starter and it makes it get hot so it won't start

2002 Subaru Forester misses/runs poorly with slow acceleration when hot with a/c on especially after running 50-60mph on interstate. Problem is intermittant. Runs fine with excellent acceleration...

I have the same problem. But my check engine light comes on when this occurs. The car runs fine otherwise. The problem manifests when it's hot out and I've been driving for a while with the A/C on. When I stop somewhere (like the supermarket), shop, and get back in my car. It starts fine but when I put it in gear to go, it's extremely sluggish for a few seconds and the check engine light comes on. Then is runs fine but the check engine light remains on. The next day when I start it, the check engine light is not on. Also, I recently had the head gasket replaced. I took it back into the shop the first time the check engine light came on. The mechanic checked it and said everything checks fine. He re-set the light saying to keep an eye on it and bring it back in if the check engine light comes back on. It ran fine for 1.5 weeks and now this problem has started to occur.

Did you find anything out dwbradway? I wish I had a solution for you but I just have the same kind of problem. Any help would be appreciated!

Hard to start in hot weather

Start looking at temperature sensors and maybe even the thermostat.

2000 Plymouth Voyager won't start when hot.

first MAKE SURE THE CAR IS COOL BEFORE TAKING OFF THE RADIATOR CAR!!!!!! failure to do this could result in major burns to the face!!! then check the radiator fluid make sure it is topped off also make sure that you arent just puttin water in the radiator make sure and put some actualcoolant the radiator should be filled with a 50/50 mix of water and coolant

if the problem continues you might want to take it to a shop
