My little sister's RCA TruFlat 27" (I don't know its model number) TV doesn't "turn on". We have it connected to cable and we know the wall plug works, we also know the cable's connection works as well. The little red light that turns off when the TV is on, is off meaning that the TV is on, but there's no image on the TV. Not even a "CH3" or "Volume" image. She says that last night she went to the settings menu and turned on "FSP" or "FPS" and about a minute later the TV turned off by itself. So I'm kinda thinking that the "FPS/FSP" is at fault. How can I fix the TV? How can I turn off the "FSP/FPS" setting? Will have have to go get it fixed?

try to preset the channels bec,it is not on the tv button memory but only on remote.go to channel settings and preset cable channels

She changed the Frequencies per second (in the Americas it has to be 60 hertz, In Europe, Asia, and elsewhere it has to be 50 hertz). Changing that will cause the tv to self destruct.

Does the set have any audio/video jacks for input?

the first thing I would do is connect your cable lead F connector (screw on connector) this should be located next to an external wall. they normally put a horrible box on the wall inside your house.

Once this is connected, connect the scart to the box. this is labelled so you carnt really go wrong. then connect the other end of the scart to the scart port at the back of your telly.

last thing you need to do is connect the power cable to the cable box. Then turn it all on.

when you power the cable box up you might have to wait a minute or two just to let it settle then press the power button on the remote this should automatically turn the correct extension on the tv for you.

There would be a RED,YELLOW,WHITE input cables that you would hook up to the back, there should be a Video mode on you remote turn it to one of the input channels and you should be fine.. Thanks and please rate.

You need to replace the microprocessor. GoodLuck there is 52 pins to unsolder and resolder a new one. The price for the chip may bee about $35

you need an rca universall remote with you model number listed.

Either get a priest to do an exorcism..... or it sounds like an internal issue.... likely a bad capacitor. if you are able to do some basic troubleshooting ... remove the back and look for any capacitors with rounded tops.
