I purchased a harmon kardon sb16, but it did not come with a manual. I put it together but have no sound. yes it is plugged in and switched on connect thru fiber optics

Reread the instructions.. some of these systems have 1 item that can be missed and the entire system wont work. Im a bloke who knows... Connect up and if it works, great. If it doesn't, read the instructions Lol. Make sure you have power to the unit. If not sure, plug something (Vacuum cleaner etc) into the wall socket to confirm. make sure you haven't got the "input" and output terminals / connections back to front.
I also had this UNLOCK message on my Harman Cardon AVR 130.
The reason for this error was - in a hurry I've plugged the optical input into optical OUT! Double check that your connections in the back are correct and hopefully it fixes your problem.
Harmon kardon.com and check product support or check the website where you got them from, If they still cary them you may be able to find a manual as a pdf or something. Good luck. Bonne chance!
