Most Netgear routers have a recessed button on the back or bottom panel, marked "Reset" or "Restore Factory Settings". Because the button is recessed, you will require a thin tool to press it. Most people use a straightened paperclip.
Power up the router, and wait for it to complete booting up, typically about one minute.
Press the Reset or Restore Factory Settings button until the test or power led starts blinking. This takes about 20 seconds. Release the button.
Wait for the router to reboot.
Log in with the default password.
If the reset was not successful, try these additional steps AFTER the router has finished rebooting.
Unplug the router's power.
Press and hold the Reset button. While the button is held down, reconnect router's power.
Continue to hold the reset button for 20 seconds after reconnecting the power.
that sounds like a FTA unit? there are tons of free download bins for the factory reset of the fta reciver there are no longer easy bins to revive or to hack the unit to receive pay TV because they all have switched to what is called the N3 system and that has not been hacked yet but there are tons of pay sites online for thease bins BUT Not the N# BINS At least not yet that I am aware of!!!!?? you can set up any like this 1. turn on what ever you want set up 2. press and hold set up tell light blinks or stays lit 3. push what you are trying to set up t.v. or dvd ect. 4. push power on/off tell it turns off 5. push enter when it turns off Thank you for useing fixya please rate me
