How can we fix the door of our Sharp Carousel Convection Microwave Oven Model R-9X56?

This appears to be an Australian model and these are the only spares I can find. They do sell the latches. If the hinges are damaged and causing this, you will feel movement. Looks like it is time for a new one.

My micro wave door opens n does not shut tightly I guess and so takes about ten tries opening n shutting before it starts. What should I do Panasonic inverter microwave (the genius prestige) Model...

The door is either out of adjustment, the door switches are out of adjustment, or the door/hinges are damaged. If the door switch assembly can be adjusted to fix the problem, then make sure the door closes as snugly as possible. As any repair to a door can increase the amount of microwave leakage, which can cause possible health issues for you, it might be wise to, at the very least, have a technician do a radiation leakage test on the unit once the door problem is repaired.

How to replace inner glass panel on Neff H7871 microwave

Hi Bill, I am having a same problem I have managed to order the glass from:-

http://www.4neff.co.uk/cgi-bin/product.pl?PID=876912&query=Neff%20H7871N1GB%2f01&model=H7871N1GB&path=127858

1. Open the door.

2. Take out the 2 screws just behind the handle, on the inside of the door, the door should flop down at the handle end.

3. Hold the door handle and pull the door out. It is only housed in by a slip in hooks at the bottom end.

4. Once you remove the door you will see the inner metal mesh and the inner door behind it.

5. Remove the 16 screws holding the inner glass with a special star type screw driver bit no T30.

6. Once you done that the glass housing holding the inner glass can be carefully prised free and taken off the inner door assembley.

7. Once you done that remove and inner glass, and be carefull to leave the glass glass seal intact, clean around the frame housing and the seal then replace the new inner glass and reverse the process.

PS. Becareful of the inner door once you've removed the outer door, as the hinges holding the inner door tend to shut quickly as there is less weight on the hinges.

It will do the job if you follow these instructions.Good Luck. AL

I ordered and received a replacement door for my 2002 spacemaker ge microwave. The lady I spoke with said I would be able to install it myself. I figured there would be directions in the box explaining...

HELLO.

Below is the solution to replace your microwave door.

Unplug the oven from the outlet and/or shut off the gas valve. Open the old door completely and unlock the hinges by pushing the hinge out toward you and down toward the door. Slightly close the door and lift the door up and toward you.

Install the new door. Make sure the wall oven door hinges are aligned to go into the rectangular wall oven slots. Place the hinges into the slots. The hinges should "catch" on the slots comfortably.

Ensure the door is fully opened and push the hinge locks into an upright position. The two hinge locks should rest on top of the two hinges that are inserted in the wall oven slots.

Close the door and open it several times to make sure the door is properly opening and closing. Replug the oven back into the outlet and/or turn the gas valve back on.

Thanks.

The door to the refrigerator pops open after a few seconds of being closed so I have to tie the two doors with a ribbon to keep it shut. I've tried adjusting the temperatures but it doesn't stay...

hello kelly,
this is usually a issue dealing with the seals of the door what you can try is if you have any petroleum jelly or vaseline lubricate the seal with the jelly all the way around a light coating and then close the doors for at least two hours this will cause the seal to remold and also cause suction to reapper in the seal as well this will not work if your seals are ripped or torn or bunched up in areas and if they are you would have to replace the door seals in order to alleviate the issue this sometimes is also caused by a hinge bending on the door due to the amount of weight being placed by so many items on the door where you would have to either restraiten the hinge or order a new one best thing to do is inspect the area first and make a determination is it the seal which in most cases it is or is it the hinge very few times i do see both happen but it is also possible if your looking for a place to order your seals you can click this link http://www.allbrandonline.com/ i find them much cheaper then other parts companies and do recommend them often due to there impeccable service if you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped when our chat has fully concluded it allows me to continue helping others in similar situations Thanks again Rick

The door wont stay shut, the microwave works if I hold the door shut, I think it is the latches

The door is probably out of adjustment. Remove it from the power source.
Remove the top cover and examine the door catch housing. There usually are a couple of screws clamping this in place, loosen the screws, shut the door and tighten the screws.
Finaly, check the hinge for clearance, (No more than 1/10th inch), and adjust as needed.
Hope that helps.

Faceplate of door by lower L/H hinge cracked. How do I remove the door to replace the Faceplate?

Front doors are attached inside the microwave at the top and bottom of the oven cavity. Top case has to come off using, likely, security torx screw drivers.
Remove the top hinge.
Remove the bottom hinge.
Door falls off.
Replace the front panel of the door.
Reinsert the lower hinge with the door, close and latch the door.
Holding the door firmly to the microwave, tighten the door hinge. Replace the top hinge.
(On some units, both hinges need to be installed at the same time. Use masking tape to hold the lower hinge - makes it easier.)

My frigidaire microwave door is sagging and is about to fall off

EASY get a machine screw, nut with washer. I believe I used a 1/8" machine screw.....(find something small to fit in the hole on the bottom hinge.

First step, take 3 screws off bottom to expose hinge area. Have someone hold it or support it so wires to the light do not pull out,.

Pop the machine screw through the front and then with your fingers get the washer an nut and tighten down.
If you want the professsional look. Paint the machine screw white first with a enamel white paint.

Microwave door does not shut tightly

If your oven door has gotten bent or warped (maybe you rested something heavy on it…), you need to remove the door, disassemble it, and straighten it. You can lift most oven doors off of their hinges by opening the door several inches to its first "stop," and lifting the entire door straight up.

If the hinges have become worn, damaged, or bent, you probably need to replace them. We recommend replacing both hinges at the same time, to prevent uneven wear of the undamaged hinge.
