What is the size of the JBL PSW-D110 fuse?

The fuse is a 250volt 1.25 amp slow blo.
First thing I would do is check C6 to see if it is bulge or blown - regardless replace it with a 10ufd 100volt Non-polarity capacitor. If the fuse blows again unplug the blue wires from the transformer and plug in unit to an outlet. If fuse does not blow then problem is on PC board. I have a service manual for this item. Probable causes on PC board are Filter Caps, Bridge rectifier (DBA), Amplifier module, or fragments of C6 even causing shorts on board if it had blown.

I have bought C6 from MCM Electronics for under .50 cents but you have to put shrink tube on one lead and bend it back along the body and solder both leads in the board.

Good luck

Have a PSW-D112 sub woofer that needs a new amp. Repair facility says original amp took a catastrophic power surge and it's toasted. JBL says repair parts not available. Please advise on source for...

Go to Parts Express and buy the Bash 300w digital subwoofer amp.It fits almost exact except it is one inch shorter.Just use mdf to fill the space and this amp will outperform the original.I have done this and it's not really difficult, pretty straight forward.
They usually sell for around $149,but they have sales often around $99.Good luck.

How do you disassembly the JBL PSW_D110?

what i did was i stuck my hand in the port, screw driver in hand, used the blunt end of the screwdriver put it in the indent on the magnet on the back of the sub, positioned it so that the end of the screw driver was stickin out and smacked it with a hammer and it popped out, make sure u take the screws out of the front of the sub, and then take the insulation out of the box and do the same thing to th eboard just do it on theblack part of the amp not on the board

My JBL PSW-D110 started humming loud... The fuse is fine and the power LED displays is illuminated in green. However the sound is unbearable... It would like to replace the entire IC panel if its most cost...

Hi calsunbelt

there are some caps that fail in the power supply. If you are up to doing some electronic repairs, I could talk you through it and tell you what parts to check.

JBL PSW-D110 Humming Loud

If I remember these correctly, there is a bad coupling cap in the amp section. You should see it as the top should have ballooned up. Replace the cap and you should be OK.
