Cannot open text messages

On your main screen, press the BlackBerry button (the one with seven dots) to go to your Home folder. Scroll down to find the SMS and MMS folder -- the icon looks like a cell phone with a word bubble coming off of it. Click on this folder and you should see all of your text messages.

To change the tone for text messages please follow the steps:-
1) Go to Profile.
2) Select Advance.
3) Press the menu key.
4) Select Edit.
5) Scroll down and select Messages.
6) Select Out of Holster, and change the tone you will hear the tone when you will get the messages.

1. go to your proflies (where the picture of the speaker is) and
2. scroll all the way down to the "advanced" option.
3. open the "advanced" option
4. scroll to the setting that has "(active)" in parenthesis just as i quoted (this what sound option you have your phone set to either: loud, normal, quiet, vibrate, phone only)
5. open that selection up that has the "(active)" next to it
6. scroll down to and open "sms text"
7. scroll to "repeat notification" and open up the option
8. select the "led flashing" option
9. do this for "in holster" and "out of holster"

Go to profiles, scroll down to advanced, click the profile you want (most like normal) scroll down to sms text... n from there click tune... and change...

Open up your messages, then click your menu button then go to Options. Click on General options, there will be alot there, scroll down until you see something like "SMS and Email Inboxes". Click on that to change the options, the choices are: Theme Controlled, Seperate, Combined.

its in your message options.... go to email.. or txt message.... go to Options...... General options... and scroll down to Actions... it will say keep messages.... it should say 2 months for you move it to forever.. so that it will only delete when you delete it

push the blackberry dot button and scroll to delete

Check to see how long your mail is configured for retention.

Open your in-basket. Press the menu button, and select "options".

Scroll to the bottom and the last option is "keep messages". You can set this for anywhere from 15 days to forever.

I cant open any of my text from my blackberry pearl at all

when youre on the home screen, scroll over to the little profile icon that looks like a speaker. scroll down to ADVANCED, highlight LOUD, hit the MENU key, go to EDIT, go to SMS TEXT, then to TUNE.
