Please try these steps.

  3. Close the rinse aid cap by rotating it clockwise.

There is a white film on my dishes and in my dishwasher. I've tried using different detergents and rinse aids. Nothing seems to help. Is there a problem with my machine?

try turning the rinse aid dosage down this can be done by turning the small dial located under the rinse aid filler cap, i would start by turning it to number 2.

Im missing the cap that goes on the liquid soap[ screws on]kenmore dishwasher

You would be surprised that if you look around your house / garage you may actually find a cap that works. Otherwise sears is an authorized Kenmore dealer. So you could always purchase from them, have model number and serial number handy.

Dishwasher spots

I'm sure you use rinse aid? If not try it. Also cut down on the amount of soap you use. If these dont work your water may be to hard, and you'd need a softner.

Kitchenaid KUDS02 Rinse Aid dispenser does not work

I don 't know how to fix the dispenser; however, there is a jet dry product that is sold in stores that is in solid form, you just clip it to the upper rack. I have seen it in Wal-Mart in the detergent aisle.

Cannot unscrew cap on rinse aid compartment in door of Whirlpool Gold Quiet Partner III

the cap doesn't come off, you just have to open the door all the way. then, when you pour the rinse aid into the dial area, it will get sucked into the dispenser. but if the door isn't open all the way it won't go anywhere and will overflow on you.
