SOURCE: I have a Echo Gas trimmer SRM-210 Rapid feeder

In your manual under section 12: Line Head Installation. You will do the opposite of what it says here. The key is to LOCK the gear drive so the flex-drive shaft won't turn WHEN you are removing the trimmer head. They use a special tool (maybe you have it). But a small-shafted Phillips screwdriver or the like can be put in the drive hole to lock the gearing up as well. Look for the hole in the upper plate and align with the notch in the drive housing and grasping the entire string head unit, remove it. Here is your manual, see Section 12

String on Echo (with the 2 strips ) is stuck and cannot get it out on one side? How do I open the head up?

You mean the trimmer line...?
If so. It's run out. Need to rewind new line in.
Press the two tab on the side of the case and then pull the center out to (refill) new line. you should be good to go back in business like before.

Good luck

I Have a Weed Eater Model W25CFK I need to put new string on it ...It doesn't have a spool you use two individual pieces of line and I can't remember how to do it and can't fi

There are a couple of different heads that doesn't have a spool on 1 you pull the left over pieces of old string out from under the and the push the new short pieces into the front of the head, another you line up two arrows and then put a long piece of string throw the head eqail on both sides and then wind the head to pull the string in, another you take off and feed the line down inside.

I have a TB525EC trimmer with the "new" string

Great question! You can always go to the Home Depot and purchase a "universal-type" retro head and if it doesn't fit correctly, just return it for a refund or go on a site like Ebay and buy a genuine Troy Bilt retro type string head. I bet they will fit.

HOW DO I INSTALL A NEW STRING IN A PRO CUT 11 for Ryobi RLT30CD trimmer

LINE REPLACEMENT (Fig. 8) (For Reel EasyTM Head) Use 2.4mm monofilament string. Use original manufacturer's replacement string for best performance. n Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire. n Cut one piece of string approximately 7.6m in length. n Rotate knob on string head until line on knob aligns with arrows on top of string head. n Insert one end of string into eyelet located on the side of the string head and push until string comes out through eyelet on the other side. Continue to push string through the string head until the middle section of the string is inside the string head and string outside the string head is evenly divided on each side. n Rotate the knob counterclockwise on the string head to wind the string. Wind the string until approximately 20cm remains protruding from the string head. INSTALLING STRING IN PRO CUT II STRING HEAD Use monofilament string between 2.4 mm and 2.7 mm diameter. Use original manufacturer's replacement string for best performance. n Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire. n Gather two of the pre-cut lengths of trimmer line provided or cut two pieces of trimmer line, in 28 cm lengths. n Insert the strings into the slots located on the sides of the string head. String should be pushed in until approximately 2 cm protrudes from the holes on the top of the string head. n Remove old string by pulling it from the holes located on the top of the string head. http://www.screwfix.com/sfd/i/cat/pdfs/89/p4763889.pdf

Pull string for Weed Eater Featherlite Plus came out

If you have the starter spool out (the one the rope goes in)...Here is what to do. Take the starter spool and change the rope out putting it back exactly as it was. Leave the rope hanging. Hold the spool and set it down on the rewind spring. Turn the spool on the rewind spring until you feel it is tight enough. While turning, hold the rope in the little slot in the spool so it can go around without hanging up. Once it is tight, get the rope in line with the spool opening and SLOWLY let the rope rewind. Put on the handle and put the unit back together.Good luck...Lee

My homelite trimmer string keeps getting stuck and when i tap it to release more string it doesn't the spring in it doesn't spring at all. I constantly have to stop take it apart pull enough string to edge...

It's sticking pretty good. Try what I do: Pull the head off and clean it out pretty good. Also clean where the spool attaches to the trimmer. Before you reassemble it, give it a shot of powdered graphite (I get mine at the hardware store. It's for locks). Reassemble the spool onto the trimmer. Bump it on the ground several times to distribute the graphite within the head. Now, press the head in and pull on the trimmer line. It should dispense a little line and stop, just like when the machine is in operation. If it works, you're done! If it doesn't work, you will need to replace the spool. They are available at the major hardware stores. Even if you have to replace the spool, the graphite trick is a good one. It'll keep the head dispensing line smoothly. I add the graphite probably every 7th or 8th time I rewind the spool.

How to remove old string reel from ryobi 105r

After you line up the two triangles, push in and lift. Only the top piece will come off, then the spool is inside. I kept trying to lift the whole head and then the top popped off and I realized what I was doing wrong. It is actually quite easy once you figure out the correct way and where to pull.

Homelite curved shaft timmer line problem

So, is this trimmer suppose to feed the string automatically? If not, then it sounds like the string is wound up on the spool the wrong direction.

Require Manual for Ryobi PTL 2543 25cc line trimmer

Or sometimes you unscrew a retaining bolt set into a plastic "lug", the spool drops out, refill t with line, replace it putting line through holes in the spool casing, refit the "lug" and tighten it again. I think I have the manual for this though and if so maybe I can send you a link to images on MSN Homepage to help you..
