You need to charge the specific power wheels charger into your battery.
I have a power wheels jeep and a peg perego gator but had to get 2 different chargers for them.
I charge my batteries up for about 18 hrs at a time and they seem to run fine.

My grandaughter's Fisher Price Barbie jeep is running slow. I have charged the battery twice and it doesn't make a difference. How can I check to make sure it isn't a bad charger before

Test the charger with a ohm meter, or you could take the vehicle to a Power Wheels service station, they can test the battery for you to see if it is good.

You can find your closest service center here: http://service.mattel.com/us/powerwheels_info.asp

After a year in storage, jeep won't work.

the radio runs off of a seperate battery source, so that wouldn't have any effect on this, i would first of all check the battery and charger with a multimeter and make sure that they are showing the correct voltage, if its a 12v battery make sure that they are showing at least 12 volts, if its a 6v battery make sure that its showing at least 6v

HOW DO I CHARGE THE BATTERY ?

In the hood of the jeep there is the battery. The jeep should of came with a plug-in quick charger that fits in a general outlet. Simply unplug the battery, and plug it into your wall in the house, etc.

No power supply to gearbox

It has a thermal fuse. Depress the gas pedal for 25 seconds and try it then

12v battery powered barbie jeep

If you are comfortable with wires then go to walmart and get a schumaker battery charger from the automotive department. either the Maintainer or the next one up I think ist is model 600 They are much better than the stock chargers because when the battery is full they automatically switch over to float mode so the battery doesn't get cooked. www.modifiedpowerwheels.com has lots of info on exactly what you would need to do. The chargers are 20 and 30 I believe and they can be used for other things like lawnmowers and car batteries if needed.
