I have 2 remotes and one box. I can not get the second remote to work ..it will only let me watch what is on tv1. I have it set to dual viewing. My tv1 remote works sometimes I think it is inferring with...

pkermer,

It sounds like the receiver is in single mode (you said it was in dual mode) or shared viewing. With shared viewing disabled, you will not get a picture on TV 2, only TV 1. If you are not getting a picture (black screen) on TV 2, you should change the setting for Shared View on your receiver.

Make sure your receiver is in Single mode by pressing the Mode button on your receiver (should have only the green light lit on the front of the receiver and the single mode amber light). Press the Menu button on your remote to display the Main Menu on your TV 1. Press 6 (System Setup) and 2 (Shared View). Move the cursor to Enable Shared Viewing. Press Select on your remote (Enable View should have purple dot). Then press Done. Exit out of the other screens till you have a picture on your TV 1 screen. Make sure the receiver is in dual mode and then check to make sure you have a picture on TV 2.

If you have any more problems or questions, please let us know.

Can set up th remote control for this tv with the direct tv cable remote

Here's how to scan for TV codes on your DIRECTV remote

1.Make sure your TV is turned on.

2.Slide the mode switch at top of remote to "TV".

3.Press and hold the MUTE button. This is located above the number 1 button.

4.While still holding down MUTE, press and hold the SELECT button until green light at the top of the remote flashes twice.

5.Then enter 991, the green light on remote should flash twice.

5b. Press 1 again (it will flash twice again), then you press the power on button at the very top right.

6.Point remote at TV and press CHANNEL UP button. Tap the CHANNEL UP button repeatedly until the TV powers off.

*If you hit channel up very fast, you risk going past the code. Pressing channel down will back it up. I alway hit channel up very fast till the tv turns off, then back it up slowly till it comes back on.

7.When the TV powers off, press and release the SELECT button.

*Note: If the green light flashes three times before TV responds, then all codes have been cycled through. Our remote controls are guaranteed to program to your DIRECTV receiver, however your TV may not be compatible with our remote control.

I had my at&t u-verse channels working perfectly and tried to use my toshiba remote to play an interactive game . I pressed the ant1/2 button and now the screen is blackish fuzz and my at&t...

Alan first off to fix your picture
On the Toshiba remote you should have a button that says SOURCE or INPUT press that repeatedly till the picture comes back

Or you may have a button that says HDMI, COMP, or VID one of those will work depending on how it is connected to your tv.

As far as the interactive games you are talking about if they are plugged into the front or side of the tv then you need to use the same SOURCE or INPUT buttons to change to the FRONT or SIDE inputs on the list that comes up

Enjoy and please vote on how helpful this was

Thank You

I am not able to set up universal remote control to control the TV set. The set 20 years old0 is a DECCA COLOUR 15'' No. 0514680 CN 9276. The Decca 4 digit codes on the instruction leaflet do not work. The...

Do you have another TV that you could test the new remote with first of all?
If you can do this and it works ok, you will know that there is no fault with the new remote, and that the batteries are not dead/low on power.

I've not heard of a Decca TV for over 30years, so it could be that your set is too old to program the remote for it.
