First check and see what the circuit is rated at. it you have too many thing on that circuit(light,tv,etc) this will trip your breaker because of the amp draw of the treadmill. nordictrack recommends a dedicated circuit of 20amp. you may nned to have a circuit put in with 12/2 wire

SOURCE: Runs for a few seconds and trips a breaker in the house

If it's the breaker in a gfci outlet, move it to one that isn't GFCI.

The motor isn't going bad, but if it's not a gfci outlet, it may be the motor control board and of course the belt need lubricating.

SOURCE: Hi. I have Proform 450CX.

hi,
You have to check the Driver circuit board for the motor. From your naration the motor is ok . Why the circut breaker trips because, if the IGBT( insulated gate bipolar transistor) is short then, when you press the start button the motor will try to drain a high current from the power line.IGBT controll the voltage to the motor. When it get shorted the applied voltage will gos to the motor without regulation. Also you have to check the rectifier diode. The IGBT will look like one in the picture. Check the ohms between the seond and third pins of the IGBT. It should be above 1 kohm. Remember one thing remove power before oppening working in the treadmill. Because it have live area all over the driver board
ok

1) Lube the deck belt, in according with the instruction manual.
2) Lube the rollers bearing, with the i. manual
3) Test the input voltage motor, if there are the motor need repair
4) Test the output voltage board, for input voltage motor, if there are Not the board is faulty. God bless you

My 933i is tripping my house circuit breaker at higher speeds. I think there is more resistance in the belt (It's never been serviced).

When a running belt has excessive wear, it creates a lot of friction which causes the drive motor to work harder. When the drive motor works harder it will start overheating. If the belt is not lubricated periodically, it will ruin the deck, the drive motor, and cause other electrical problems such as tripping the breaker [after a while, the circuit breaker on the treadmill will need to be replaced.

It is suggested to lubricate the belt monthly. At this point, you may need to replace both your deck and your running belt.

My belt will start but will stop right away with an error tone from the control panel. It also blew a fuse in that part of my house. Any ideas?

1) LUBE the deck belt, this happen because the lack of maintenance LUBE, and lube the rollers bearings too.See the video attached
2)Test the input voltage motor, if there ARE the motor need repair see my personal TIPS for motor help
3) Test the output voltage board, for input voltage motor, if there are NOT the board is faulty.
However you put some desklamp in the circuit if the breaker in tripped the problem is the outlet wall. Test the outlet+wires and ground for incorrect wires polarities see the diagram attached and fix it.
If the c.breaker are NOT tripped the problem is the treadmill. do the LUBE first.

Hi hbkopen31...
Your problem sounds like it is the motor giving a problem.

Unhook the belt from the compressor and run the motor by itself...check the compressor to make sure it is not dragging the motor too much making the amps go up and tripping the breaker..
If the motor runs with the belt off of the compressor, then let it run for at least an hour, then put the belt back on and try it again...if it trips again, then replace/rebuild the motor as it is faulty.
Also check the motor capacitor sometimes they fail..
If the motor still trips the breaker after removing the compressor belt..replace/repair the motor as it is faulty.

If by "trips the breaker" you mean the GFI then you are leaking current to ground, GFI's trip when there is an imbalance between the current going to the motor on the HOT side and returning from the motor on the NEUTRAL side, if it is tripping the GFI it is likely the sign of a failing motor.

No heat in dryer

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. If your dryer isn't working or isn't getting heated up, you'll need to check the following to be sure what exactly the issue is--

Blows fuses or trips circuit breaker —ELECTRIC Models:
• The amperage readings are at 240 volts. One line will be 24 amps and the other line will be 21 amps. The neutral line will be at 3 amps. If the above amperages are not present, then the house wiring, fuse box or circuit breaker should be suspect.
• Shorted heating element to housing.
• Incorrect wiring or a wire shorting to ground.
• Drive motor winding shorting to ground.

Blows fuses or trips circuit breaker —GAS Models:
• If igniter is not glowing, check for 120 V at igniter.
• Igniter harness may be loose and shorted to base.
• Incorrect wiring or a wire shorted to ground.
• Drive motor winding shorting to ground.

If it runs for a few minutes and then stops, then check for the following:--
• Empty dryer.
• Check motor spins freely.
• Lint buildup around drive motor.
• Low voltage present.
• Blower impeller blocked in blower housing.
• Drive motor - start switch contacts stuck closed.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Dryer started up as normal, but, midway through cycle, it stopped running. Timer was still going, but dryer is not spinning.

Can you hear the motor turning? If yes, it probably has a broken belt that drives the drum. If no, check the house electrical power panel to reset the dryer breaker(maybe, only one of the breaker pair tripped). If breaker trips again, you have an electrical short in the dryer cabinet somewhere, usually in the heating element in back of the drum. Good luck!
