This safe was shipped with a factory Master Code of 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8.

If you changed the Master Code you will need to use the code you changed it to.

Deleting your current User Codes:
Input * - * lock will beep twice
input 6-6-6-# lock will beep twice
Input current Master Code - # lock will beep twice
Input user number - # lock will beep twice (not user code, user number is which user number you want to delete 1,2,3,4 or 5)
Re-input user number - # light stays green for 3 seconds

Example: * - * - 6 - 6 - 6 - # Master Code - # - 5 - # - 5 #
This will delete user 5
Unsuccessful code change: five beeps, repeat the steps.

Changing User Codes: Code length can be 3 to 8 digits long
Input * - * lock will beep twice
Input 4 - 4 - 4 - # lock will beep twice
Input Current User Code - # lock will beep twice
Input User Number - #
Input New User Code - # lock will beep twice
Re-input New User Code - # light stays green for 3 seconds

Example: * - * - 3 - 3 - 3 -# - User Code 2 - # - 2 - # -New User Code - # - New User Code - #

That example will change user code 2.
Unsuccessful Code Change: five beeps, repeat the steps.

There are other things you can do with the MSL-500 lock that comes on the MFL-2014E. You can change the master code, activate user codes, change user codes, delete user codes, set single user or dual user modes (dual user modes requires two user codes to be entered each time you want to open the safe, set the time delay.

The Mesa safe company has a website which does have the operating instructions for the MSL-500 electronic lock. A Google search of "Mesa MSL-500 Operating Instructions" would get you there quickly.

Combination will not open safe

I'm sure you have opened it by now. however, when the safe goes into lockout mode. You must wait for the lockout period to end. That length of time is customizable, so I can not say how long it will be. Most likely 10min to 1 hr. Then just enter the code normally.

Resetting combination on Paragon 7875 Depository Safe?

To reset the combination on the Paragon 7875 Digital Keypad Depository Safe, you will need to locate the reset button on the back of the safe. Once you have located the reset button, press and hold it for 3 seconds. This will reset the combination to the factory default of 0000. You can then enter a new combination of your choice.

Common Issues with Mesa Safes MFL2014E Safe Depository Safe 09 Cubic Feet

The most common issue with the MFL-2014E is the keypad. We have 7 of these safes in our company and I had been replacing the keypads all the time. Which wasn't too terrible while they were under warranty but if I remember correctly they want $60 for a replacement keypad out of warranty.

I started replacing the electronic lock and keypad with Sargent and Greenleaf models. S&G 6120-305 or S&G Titan 2006-108 and haven't had problems since. Mesa said they had an engineer team from overseas go over their keypads to figure out what the problem was. The feedback was their design was fine but the components were cheap and under par. I still had a problem with their resigned keypads however.

The only other problem I have had is the bars getting bent from people shutting the door on them and bending them. This can be fixed by taking the panel off the door and bending the bracket back flat with your hand. The metal there in a bit too flimsy in my opinion.

Suddenly we can't open our Church Safe. It has worked fine for almost 2 years. We have replaced the batteries with new fresh ones but still can't get the electronics to allow us to open it.

Hi.

The safe can lock up under determined conditions. Since safes are security anti-theft devices, in case they do not open, they can only be accessed with the help of the manufacturer.

Please, call Mesa Live Technical Support. The operators are available Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm (Pacific Standard Time)
The phone number is toll free. Here the number: (800) 490-5624.

Using Mesa online page you can also identify the model and download the manual. It is better finding out the safe model before contacting the Mesa by phone, so to speed up support operations.

Regards.

Need to open a Sentry keyless combination safe

First, has the factory combination been changed? Sentry has the code for the factory combination that they can supply you.

If the factory combination has been changed to something else, then Sentry won't have it.

In that case you need to ask Sentry for a 'reset' code combination. There is (at least) one back door to your safe -- a reset code.

The reset code will not tell you what your combination is, it will simply reset the combination to the factory combination.

You can take it from there.

Now, this isn't as hard as it may sound. There is an actual department that handles this at Sentry because you aren't the only one that cannot open his safe.

They'll want some proof of ownership, some $$ for the service, the safe serial number, and probably a notarized form claiming that the safe is yours.

Get 'hold of Sentry on the web and the rest is just process.

BTW -- this is exactly what the locksmith would do.
