Yes, this could be the problem. The electric clutch may draw more than the charging system alone can produce.

OPERATOR PRESENCE SYSTEM
Be sure operator presence and interlock
systems are working properly, If your
tractor does not function as described,
repair the problem immediately.
• The engine should not start unless the
clutch/brake pedal is fully depressed
and attachement clutch control is in the
disengaged position.
• When the engine is running, any
attempt by the operator to leave the
seat without first setting the parking
brake should shut off the engine.
• When the engine is running and the
attachment clutch is engaged, any
attempt by the operator to leave the
seat should shut off the engine.
• The attachment clutch should never
operate unless the operator is in the
seat.

Check your seat switch and clutch switch wires be sure that the connection to each switch is making contact and the mechanism that activates the switch is actually activateing them in other words be sure the clutch is pushing the switch in and your seat switch is occupied and be sure all grounding wires a intack
especially from your battery negative to the frame. You also could have a neutral safety switch which requires your transmission to be in neural.
try these things and let us know how we can further help from more of your input.

SOURCE: Starter flywheel is not engaging motor

If you blew a fuse you could have a grounded wire someplace. Check the wiring on the solinoid, on the battery, on the lights and anyplace there could have been a bear spot rubbed. If the flywheel does not engage check the flywheel gear on the end of the started to see if it is chewed and worn. These can be replaced easily,

SOURCE: Craftsman 26hp Garden Tractor PTO not working

If you changed the belt make sure it did not interfere with the wire that runs from the pto clutch, sometimes that belt can rub on the wire and wear through it,also if you had the clutch off make sure you aligned the steel retainer bolt that sets in the alignment hole on the pto clutch, this keeps the clutch from spring when disengaged if you don't get that pin through the hole in clutch it can push on the clutch and bind it.Also it may be possible to plug that pto switch in backwards. Also if you jumped the fuse out it may now have burnt the switch or wiring somewhere.

flop the seat forward, locate the seat switch in the middle of the seat, push the connector onto the seat switch firmly, start it up and drive away

I have a 52" Husqvarna LGT 2654 riding lawn mower and when I engage the blades, the belt does not turn the pulley system. What could be causing this, the pulley idlers, or the belt?

depending on the age of the machine, there could be several possibilities
1-- belts are not tight enough--- belt tension system is not correct, wrong length belts
2--bearings for the shafts for the blades are rusted up and seized - preventing the blades from moving--- switch the machine off , disengage the belt drive and see if you can turn the blades by hand
3--- if you have an electric pto system to drive the belts to the blades then that system is not getting full power to engage the PTO or the clutch is not working--worn facings
take it to a service dealer and have a proper diagnosis done

Husqvarna LGT 2554, run out of gas, blades were engaged. Put gas in it and now it will not turn over. Jumped battery, would not turn over / click. New battery.

Sounds like you still have PTO switch in the on position which would prevent the starter circuit from working.

Why would a husqvarna lgt 2654 not do anything when you turn the switch on? the switch has been replaced the fuse is good and a new sylenoid

Check the battery and its connections. If you've replaced the solenoid, check the connections on that too, make sure they are all clean and tight and that you haven't inadvertently left one disconnected.

Motor stalls when PTO engaged

its ether the regulator or the stator in the engineas for as the pto killing the engine it might only need a govenor adjustment to take care of that problem

Husqvarna pto problem(?) disengaged blades to travel, would not engage after. Battery dead when checked after shutting off engine and wouldn't restart

Hi, first charge or replace the battery if necessary then check that the mower is charging the battery. The pto is probably fine but it needs battery voltage to engage. If the mower has stopped charging the battery may have had enough voltage to hold the pto in until you disengaged it but not enough to re engage it. Regards Phil.

Husqvarna Mdl YTH2448 Riding Mower - Electric PTO Not Working

It sounds like your charge system is not working. If you jump the battery the engine will run with a weak battery but the pto clutch needs a strong battery to stay engaged.Try this to test it,after you jump it leav the jumper cables hooked up and try to engage the blade clutch,if it runs it is either a battery that wont take a charge or a charge system not working. If you put a volt meter on the battery while the engine is running and the voltage is 13 volts the charge system is working and the battery is bad.
