M-Audio Prokeys 88 Premium Piano. No sound in headphones and in audio out. Help Me Please!

Hi,

please restart your piano and attempt to get sound again. If not working still, then you can attempt a factory reset. Otherwise, please change the head phones or audio out device and play some test songs or keys.

Thank you.

For some reason none of my many power adaptors fit my Prokeys 88....is this adaptor specific to this model?

most are, (volts, amps.watts and pin wiring)

there is no standard on wall warts. ever, for sure world wide.
no thing told Prokeys 88 what is that?
ahh my wild guess is gee you posted to computers and is not
it is a music keyboard (cheap)
Prokeys 88 SONO? what is it exactly the SONO uses standarded USB power pack like used on cell phones.

the sono runs 2 ways with USB power pack
or connected to any PC with USB cable (5vdc is USB)
the non sono 88
uses a 12vdc power pack
I say use 12vdc pack 2 amps. web cameras CCTV IP cams sold vast these.

the non sono page 4 clearly states (gee first google hit too)
12vdc, 500mA (1/2 aMP OR MORE) AND CENTER PIN PLUS.

Tell me some tips and tricks about using the Kurzweil sp3x stage piano

The place to get the best help for Kurzweil gear is Sweetwater Sound.
Other than that, always use it in stereo mode with a decent sound system. Always use speakers with at least a 15" woofer and a horn to get the full range of sound it's capable of.

I just got a 18 month old privia px130 and when I play the G keys (middle and -1) and the -1C there is a hissing sound. If it only happens in the electric piano setting. If I set it on duet, it happens...

First thing is to verify if the sound is there using headphones. This is important test as it isolates problems in power amps and other connected equipment that may be sensitive to the particular pitch of those keys. If it is in the headphones, then likely you will have to take it to a repair shop as the problem would be very deep in the unit's sound generator hardware.

The external speakers attached to my m audio prokeys 88sx are no longer working. I have replaced the fuses in both but the fuses blow on power up. I then used the keyboard with a set of headphones. One of...

It is NOT likely the keyboard is "killing the speakers"... OR the headphones for that matter.

I suspect the problem is bad switch contacts in the headphone jack that cut off the speaker line outputs when headphones are plugged into the pro keys. These jacks are, to put it bluntly, JUNK... they are EASILY damaged by pulling the cable plugged into them sideways. You will need to service the unit.

Prokeys 88 flashes 888 and none of the keys work.

Reset the 88 by switching off --> hold the - and + buttons while turning on. Your device will reset and usually everything should be solved.
