You should restore the firmware of the device. Please read this user manual especially the content of the page 22:

If you have not it now the recovery tool can be downloaded from this website also. After decompress it, run factory4.exe the connect device to USB. Use first check device function and then firmware upgrade. I hope your teac will come back to work fine again. Good luck! gylacz
