Alarm Lock Trillogy DL2800 and DL Windows Program.

I have recently installed 8 Trilogy 2800 touch pad door locks. I am programmiing from the Alarm Lock DL Windows program on my PC via their data transfer module to each lock unit. You are supposed to be able to load programming for up to 200 locks in the transfer module and go around and program each lock. I am not able to do this as information from one lock ends up in another lock and the schedule is corrupted and the doors do not lock or unlock correctly. To try and resolve the problem I started only programming one lock at a time which has helped the issue, but I still have some information from other locks transfering to where it should not be. The DL Windows program is version 3.6.3 running on Windows XP. The data transfer module is a Alarm Lock DTM 3. The local vendor is at a loss as what to do and the Alarm Lock company thinks we are nuts. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Mark

Thanks for the response. We figured out that there was a problem with the DL program on my PC and did just what you suggested and went to a lap top unit. Programming issues resolved. The direct connection is what we will now use, however it even let us program correctly using the DTM unit.

If you can load DL windows onto a laptop instead of a PC, you can program directly to each lock using a AL-PC12 cable which connects from a 9-pin serial com port on your computer, to the 2-pin banana plug on the lock.(be sure to observe polarity). Cable is available from Alarm Lock. Some very useful downloads and information is available on their website - www.alarmlock.com
I hope this helps!

This is the website for Alarm Lock, the manufacturer:

http://www.alarmlock.com

Then click on Tech Support/ Tech Library/ Instruction Manuals

You will find links to the information that you need under the headings Trilogy DL Instruction Manuals and Trilogy DL Programming Manuals on that page.

These are PDF files, requiring that you have Adobe Reader installed on your computer to view them properly. If you can't view them, download and install Adobe Reader from this site:

Where can I find instructions for installing a T2 Trilogy Unit

Go to this page for Alarm lock, the manufacturer:
http://www.alarmlock.com/tech_library_instruction_manuals.asp
where you will find it listed under the heading
Trilogy DL installation manuals
http://napcosecurity.com/download/DL2700_WI835_INST.pdf
and the programming instructions under
Trilogy DL programming manuals
http://napcosecurity.com/download/DL2700_OI209A.37_PROG.pdf

These digital manuals are .PDF files. If they don't open for you, it is because you need to install Adobe Reader on your computer first. So here's the link to download the installation file for Adobe:
http://get.adobe.com/reader/
A note of caution regarding the installation: a printout of a template will probably be scaled down by your printer and therefore not be true dimension.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your installation!

We have a Trilogy lock that when you turn the handle from the outside and push down, the plunger only goes in 1/2 way. When you lift up - it works normal. The inside handle retracts the plunger both (up and...

I've included a link to the installation instructions for the DL 2700 lock, which is a PDF file requiring Adobe Reader or similar program be installed to open the PDF:

http://napcosecurity.com/download/DL2700_WI835_INST.pdf

Scrolling down to page 8 of the instructions (Troubleshooting) indicates that if the lever will not fully retract, then the lock is either not full engaged with the latch or is misaligned, or that the lock is not centered on the door.

This link:

takes you to the tech support page, where you can find more documentation or contact their Customer Support directly.

DL 2700 Alarm lock malfunction with constant alarm

I have had this happen on a 3500 and I had to replace the keypad assy. But, you may want to try to restore factory settings just to see if it resets. Disconnect the battery pack and hold down any number key for 10 seconds (this bleeds off any charge that may be in the capacitors). Reconnect the battery and within 3 seconds, press and hold the "A" key. After hearing 6 beeps, release the "A" key and wait for 5 seconds for the lock to re-lock (listen for 1 beep and red LED).
If successful, this will reset factory settings, which means the master code is now 1 2 3 4 5. If you need a programming manual, go to www.alarmlock.com At the top of the home page click on "support". Scroll to the bottom of the support page and click on Technical Library. Scroll down that page and find "trilogy DL programming manuals" and under that click on "download DL2700 enhanced instructions". I hope this is some help!
