If you are unable to access the TV menu using the buttons on the TV itself it is possible you can with the TV2 remote if it still controls the volume etc. for this TV. If it doe not you will need to find a code for your set in the manual for the receiver or you can go to the following link to find that info as well.http://tech.dishnetwork.com/departmental_content/TechPortal/content/tech/receiver/625.shtml Assuming you have control of the volume still press the small TV button on the top left of the remote. Now press the menu button and you may be able to access the TV's menu. If so you need to run a channel scan/auto program the TV. You may need to use the buttons on the TV still to maneuver through the menu. If you are still unable to access the menu you may need to purchase a universal to access the menu.
You have inadvertently activated one of the closed-caption modes called T1 or Text 1. Find out how to turn the closed-captioning off and on and you'll be able to turn this off.
try turning the channel up or down with the tv remote to input 1 or 2 depending on which one is being used for the dvd player. tv should use input 1. dvd should be on input 2.
when turning the channel set it to show the dvd screen, then go up 1. if it doesn't show, return and go down 1.
The only way that I know of to eliminate this problem is to buy a new TV. My ILO TV has been repaired twice since May 08 and it went out again for the third time. The problem starts out as an intermittent problem.... You turn the TV on, the audio is fine but there's no picture, you will be unable to change the channel or volume whether you're using the remote control or the buttons on the TV.
This TV should have been recalled. Don't reward the manufacturer and retailer for their bad behavior, buy your next TV from a different retailer.

Good Day, hcolern2b;
Sound like your TV's front panel button assembly is bad, replace or disconnect and use remote only.
Good Luck, big IRISH.............PS disconnect from front by removing speaker grill and small black panel, follow wire harness.real close by.
Well there is still a problem with the TV. I found that by unplugging the power cable that the digital channels worked. But, when I turned the TV on today the problem had returned, I had to take out the power cable again!
