So I can't get my jbl gto- 521 ex to shut off even with out the auto on wire connected. I tested the wire and when the car is off there is no current but when the car is there is current, so here is my set up. I have a high low converter to make Rca outputs on my stock radio on my srt8 jeep. Is has a stock amp so I wired the converter to my front left speaker to make it easy and the auto on wire for the converter to the 12v constant to the stock amp and then connected the other side of the auto on wire to the new amp. The subs and everything work it just doesn't turn off.. could it be the switch on the amp itself?

Remove the remote wire.
you probably have the power wire touching or connected to the remote wire. you dont need with auto on.

once again, unplug the remote wire.

SOURCE: jbl gto 3501 amp

It's a mono amp. There's no bridging with this amp.

The two pairs of speaker terminals are connected together internally. The second set of terminals is for convenience.

SOURCE: Right side speakers don't work

if you are using RCAs as inputs to your amp.Swap the R to L @ RCAs to see if its comming in okay from radio. If both RCAs have audio then amp is bad ,If amp has any type of switches , move swithces to see if it comes back .Also if both RCAs inputs have audio .Move the RCAs when connected on amp to see if amp has bad connection in board to RCA jacks..If audio comes back on bad side when jack is moves .Then you have bad solder joints on board..If not then you must have bad outputs on amp..

SOURCE: JBL Sub Amp Wiring Please

it seems rather redundant to bridge a mono amp. Unless the instruction manual states otherwise, i would assume that one speaker output is identical to the other (ran in parallel, like an A or B speaker, not like Left or Right), and you would present the amp with a two ohm load by wiring one speaker to each output. Bridging it may or may not work, but, again, it just seems redundant.

SOURCE: Alpine mrp-m450 Amp won't stay on

Sounds to me like it might be the remote turn on because the first time i installed it, it did the same thing, and i found out that there is two blue wires coming out the stereo, one with a white stripe, i connected it to the blue wire, and it didnt work, then i connected it to the blue and white wire, and it worked. Well hope this solves your problem, goodluck.

Need a schematics for a jbl gto 751.1 ez car amp please

Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty . Are you a technician? .A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you

JBL GTO 301.1ii protect mode

Hello roets81,

Check the voltage at the amp. It's possible that the voltage is either too high (above 16V) or too low (below 8.5V). Also make sure that the amp case is not grounded. If these check out OK, the most likely cause is that the amp itself is defective and requires service.

Hope this helps.

Amp is putting itself in protection mode.

I would check to see if you have a secure ground and check all of your connections for shorts.

Jbl gto 75.4 right channel not working

Hi

It's rare that 2 channels will fail simultaneously, are you sending 4 signals to the amp or just 2?

If you are sending just 2, perhaps the problem lies before the amp in the cabling to it, or the output from the headunit. If you are sending 4 signals then there may be a fuse in the amp that drives 2 channels out of the 4. Of course this may be the case should you just be sending 2 signals.
