Good Afternoon frnk, thank you for allowing me to assist you!

Your new high-efficiency refrigerator may make unfamiliar sounds. These are all normal sounds and soon will become common to you. This also indicates your refrigerator is operating as designed. Hard surfaces, such as vinyl or wood floors, walls, and kitchen cabinets may make sounds more noticeable. If the noise, however, become louder or more pronounced, then you may want to connect with a local appliance technician to determine if anything else may be the cause.

My 1999 Buick Regal is making a loud whistling noise. What could be the problem?

Depending on the whistle, fist check the vacuum lines.
There are many under the hood.
One way some people test them is to listen most carefully whilst the motor is running, and then take a spray bottle of water and spray it where the whistle sounds like it is coming from,.
If the sound stops, the water has found the hole and has plugged it for a second, and helped you find the leak.
Other whistles can come from a pulley or part that is failing, and that part is telling you ahead of time of the problem.
Be blessed.

A loud whistling noise coming from the unit while it is drying the clothes. It went from a very loud whining sound to a lesser in a day but it is still loud. What could it be?

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

A loud whinning/whistling sound comes when either the blet is worn out or damaged or the drive belt pulley has gone bad. The belt is easily replaceable and you can buy from sears or local appliance store. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Engine is whistling loudly, and stops if i remove

I would have the converter checked for back pressure. if it is plugged it can cause excessive Engine pressure. if it is not plugged then you have excessive blow by or a malfunctioning PCV system it sounds like.

Fridge is whistling

Mine was making a moaning, whistling noise coming from just above the ice maker. It happened when the fan speed changed. I learned on this site that the motherboard was probably defective.
Rather than go thru GE, we found a new one online for 66 bucks. I replaced it in about ten minutes and it's all fixed. Poor materials on the original, but this site was very helpful.
