Keyboard on Privia will not energize

MOVs do not have a reset button.

Your AC adapter actually should have a fuse inside it to meet EU safety and CE safety requirments. Getting that apart is the challenge.

Test it with a voltmeter first.

If there is voltage, check to make sure the coaxial connector center post is the right size for the plug. If it is, you will need to open the cabinet. There might be a fuse present because of the battery option, in which case that fuse may be failed, a resistor in close vicinity may have failed as well. A broken wire or solder track would be more likely.

If no voltage output from supply, 2 ways to gain entry into a glued wall wart are not the prettiest, but it gets you into them. It saves buying a new one. One is to use a knife carefully and slice through the plastic at the seam where the 2 shells come together, it takes a while. The other method is brutish and quick- a side cutter/diagonal cutter on the corners is usually enough to break them on the seam.

Then check the fuse itself for continuity. If the fuse checks okay, carefully set it so you can apply power to it and check the rectifiers to see if any burned out- you want to essentially check the unit to see if the rectifiers simply failed. If it is a transformer supply, measure at the point where the transformer leads join the bridge rectifier quad. If there is AC present, the rectifiers failed. If there is no voltage/currnet- just check for voltage- the transformer burned out. If the unit is a switch mode type supply, check the rectifiers with an ohm meter with no power applied from the mains. You may or may not see any visigly failing capacitors- if you do those can be replaced, or you can simply replace the supply. This latter type might be held together with screws- it will certainly have less heft to it.

Dell Studio 17 laptop : keyboard response sporadic.

Possibly a failed keyboard (was there a liquid spill?), loose keyboard cable or failed system board. Call Dell support, if your warranty is expired keyboard should be about $40-75, system board can be $200-600 depending on model and availiability of the part.

The keyboard has 3 led lights blinking after pairing is attempted and still won't pair with pc.

This isn't a fun solution - the best thing I've come across is to hit both reset buttons (on the computer, and on the keyboard) until both are flashing - pull up your bluetooth settings (from control panel (I've got mine shortcutted into my task bar)), then disconnect the keyboard, and search for a new item - after the computer finds a new keyboard, connect using a new pairing code.

While this might not be the best solution, it works for me, and I don't know of a better one, or quicker!

Keyboard is dead how do you check for the fuses in kw3500 casiop

First I would check to ensure it is the keyboard and not the port on the motherboard. Get a working keyboard and plug it in if it works then you know it is the keyboard and not the motherboard.Turn the keyboard over remove the back cover and check for a fuse in the +5VDC. Just as a hint: on these types of keyboards the fuse will blow if you unplug or plug it in with the power on...if changing the fuse does not fix it then the motherboard has to be replaced as you cannot change the port. Let me know if you have any questions.

What is a 301 Keyboard Error and how do I correct this problem.

The motherboard has device controllers that read id #'s of your hardware. When a device fails, a fail code is thrown out which is attached to the device id. Sometimes when en error has been cleared the code for that device may not. Try to boot the computer with the mouse removed & a different keyboard. Shut down & install the mouse & original keyboard. Let me know what happens
