SOURCE: apple ipod nano wont play the full song

First make sure your hold switch isn't on. It's on the top or bottom and slides back and forth. It needs to be switched to the left. Once it is to the left, here's how you reset:

You can reset your ipod by holding down the menu and select (round button in the center) buttons down for at least 10 seconds. You'll see an apple logo flash, that's when you stop pressing the buttons. It will shut off, then back on.

SOURCE: Frozen Ipod

what you can do, is take the hold button, and push it back and forth maybe 2 or 3 times, than you hold down the "menu" utton and the center button at the same time for about 10 seconds and you will see it restarting with a black screen and the apple icon in the center than you can let go of the buttons and about 10 seconds it willl become brighter and you will see the icon, then you can get to all of your music or videos and such

Toggle the hold switch and put it back in the off position. Then press and hold the center button and the menu button simultaneously for ten seconds and the apple symbol should come up on the screen. Then it should work like normal. Hope this helps you!

The screen of my Ipod Nano is frozen and shows only battery symbol. It wont get connected to the PC. And doesn't operate it's functions. And doesn't shut down.

Turn on hold, then turn it back off, then hold menu and the middle button down until the screen shows the apple symbol. Trust me, this happened to my old 3rd gen nano, found the soultion on apple's support pages somewhere.

My 4gb Nano Ipod is frozen. Itunes does not recognize my Ipod when it is plugged into the computer.

Toggle your hold button off and on then hold the circle in the middle AND the menu button (at the same time) for about 6 seconds....until the apple sign appears on the screen. Then let go, your Ipod should boot up a few seconds thereafter. I found this solution at the Apple Ipod troubleshooting website. GOD BLESS!!!!
