SOURCE: oil leak at top of pump

The oil in the pump is probably leaking because a seal is blown and water is getting into the piston housing. Take a look inside at the oil. It should be brown and translucent. If it is gray, white or milky, you have a blown oil seal. This reservoir should only be 1/3 full of non-detergent oil to begin with. Hope this helps

I have a north star pressure washer model 2SFX20ES3 and the pump is not working. The engine is working good. I pull the trigger and no pressure.

Hi
Sometimes you may have to allow a little time for the pump to prime itself and remove the air trapped inside. With the pressure washer at idle and the pressure hose fully extended, squeeze the trigger and see if you get pressure in a couple of minutes.

If you get no joy from that, your pump has likely checked out on you.

Hope this helps.

Engine keeps shutting down

Most Honda engines have an oil pressure switch that prevents engine damage due to low/no oil pressure. Make sure there is sufficient oil in the engine and that the wire is connected to the pressure switch.

Sounds like the regulator is sticking or is airbound. loosen the water connection and then tighten it back. Could also be that the trigger gun is faulty or needs adjustment. Hope this helped
