The tv wont power on the smart tv sign flashes on the screen for a second then it goes to red light flashing if I unplug it over night it will sometimes turn on then when I turn it off it don't come on

This is the capicator $1.50. You have to take off the back, sauter off the capicator (you'll see it because it is poking out) and sauter on the new one. I found the fix on this web-site.

The capacitors in the power supply are bad. Take the back off, look at the capacitors, "barrels", if the top is bulging up, they are bad. Caps are around $2 each at radio shack x 6?

I had the same problem with a 52" Samsung LCD. I found 2 electrolytic
caps with bulging tops on the power supply board. (see pic). I looked
to be the 5v section but I'm not sure. I got replacement at Fry's for
$1.90 each. All is well!

On my samsung flat screen tv when you are watching the televison there is no red light on the power button but when you turn the television off the red light stays on all the time? what can I do to turn this light off?

I would suspect a problem in either the backlight assembly, or the power supply that drives it. If it's the power supply, the part may be over $100.
