The last few days when I turn my Dual player on it automatically ejects whatever CD is loaded. The unit also keeps losing all the stored power on settings (volume, bass, treble etc) along with losing all stored radio stations. The auto's digital clock hasn't reset, so it isn't a simple disconnect of the car battery. No other electrical problems with the car itself that I'm aware of. I've tried reseating the removeable faceplate, but it shouldn't lose the above settings even when that's removed. It plays fine, but of course I have to manually find radio stations and set manually the bass, treble etc each time I turn it on. Help?
Hi Factus, Ampman is right about the two power sources. I wish to add that the you should check to see that the yellow wire is powered. You may want to run another yellow wire from the 12V always on terminal on your fuse block to the radio. This will eliminate any possiblilty of a problem in the wire between the radio and power source. The Red wire is powered only when the key is turned on.
Hi. SOunds like another case of power problems. Your deck has 2 power wires. One is yellow th eother is red. One is constant 12 volt battery power, the other is a switched 12 volt power, only has power with the ignition key on or on accesory. Get yourself a test light. I almost bet you do not have the constant 12 volt power to the deck, therefore your deck cannot hold its presets...

Probably correct, but I haven't been able to fix it yet. It's probably as simple as a loose connection between the Crutchfield wiring harness and the car's wiring. Hope to get to fixing it soon (if I can find the "keys" that allow one to extract the unit).
Turned out to be a weak battery. Battery replaced. Problem gone.
