Pick a spare button and label it CALL LOG. Now press PROG that button and dial 54 STORE. Ooh, it should light up. Now press it and your display will show 3 of the 4 lines of CID info from the calls to your set. The navigator button will show the rest, just keep pressing the UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT buttons. When you run out of items to display, the light and INCOMING CALL display will go out.

If you press 54 and the 3 digit number of your incoming call group (maybe 601 by default) it will follow the incoming calls to the entire call group.

P.S. There is another way to clear the display. Under the soft keys, you have a MENU button. If you press it and use the Navigator down key, it will take you to incoming call log

Personally, I'd just set a button....

Lcd screen has lines in the middle area (3" wide

Laptop screen display problems occur for many different reasons. Some issues need professional attention, but others can be repaired by the owner. A screen that displays vertical lines often means that there is a problem with the video cable connection to the LCD screen, or the cable itself. In order to repair this problem, the display screen must be disassembled. If you feel confident that this task is within your realm of expertise, follow the steps below to remove your laptop's LCD panel and fix the vertical line problem on your laptop screen.

1. Remove the rubber seals covering the screws on your screen's outer frame using a flat-head screwdriver. Remove the screws, then carefully pry the frame from the screen using your fingers. Release the plastic latches holding the framing in place, then remove.

2. Remove the screws holding the screen to the support brackets. You will see the video cable, which is attached to the back of the LCD screen. Try unplugging and reconnecting this cable, making sure that it is seated properly. If the problem was the connection, this may solve the vertical line issue.

3. Turn on the laptop. Move the video cable around a bit, without moving or touching the screen. Check the screen to see if the display image changes at all. If it does, the problem may be with the cable itself.
4. Move the laptop screen around to see if this affects the display. If so, the problem is most likely with the LCD screen itself, not the video cable. Replacing the screen will be necessary.

I hope you find it very helpful. Best regards.

My HP compaqnx9600 laptop screen display verticle lines, how can i remove them

Hi,

Here are some steps that you can try.

- Hook up an external monitor.
- If the line is visible on the external display, try to update your video card driver. But if updating the driver will not remove the vertical lines, you are certainly having problem with the video card of the laptop.
- If the line is not visible, then the problem is with the LCD of the unit. Either you have to replace or check the connections of the LCD inverter or LCD cable.
- However, if you don't have any external monitor, go to BIOS setup (by pressing F10, or whatever key is designed to access the BIOS on your laptop) and check if the line is visible, if yes, you're having an LCD/screen problem. Either you have to replace or check the connections of the LCD inverter or LCD cable.

Hope this helps.

How do I replace LCD Screen on HP Probook 4510s?

hi

according to the S/N, this notebok has several options for the display with webcam
HP p/n 535851-001 or 535852-001, 535853-001, 535854-001, or 535856-001

you need to take the upper logic top cover , remoce the screws that hold down the keyboard. disconnect the webcam connections and the LCD invereter connectio. Remove the hinges that attach the LCD to the top cover, remove the bezel from around the LCD panel. There will be or mya not be some screws to remove to the LCD from assembly top cover.
this is basically it.

if you need more information, let me know -- i can get some other assembly isntructions for you if required. But let me know which LCD p/n it is you require.

Out of frequency

Hi,

Are you referring to a problem with a Compaq (242697-001) 8-port KVM Switch or on your display (projector?)?

If it is a display problem, start your PC in Safe Mode and go to your Display Properties. In the Settings tab, lower down your screen resolution and color quality. In the Advanced button, Monitor tab, lower down your Screen refresh rates.

Reboot. Do the same and increase settings slowly (by increments) till you get the "out of frequency" message again. Pressing escape would revert you back to the last setting that worked fine.

Hope this be of some help to you, otherwise pls post back with a more detailed description.

Good luck and kind regards.
