To access your AOL account, you need to enter some information.
First, you need to enter your AOL user name or email account.
Next, you need to enter the AOL password that you entered when you first created your account. Once these two pieces of information are entered, you can sign in to your account.
However, if you have forgotten or lost your AOL password, you won't be able to access your account until you successfully reset your password.

Navigate to http://bill.aol.com/ and notice the "Sign In" window to the right of the screen.
Find the "Forgot Password" link under the "Password" field. Click the link.
Type your email address or AOL user name into the "User name or Email" field.
You'll also need to type the letters or numbers you see in the image into the "Word in Image" field.
Click "Next."
Type the correct answer to your security question in the "Your Answer" field.
Click "Next."
Provide the information for the "Billing Contact Name," including first and last name.
This is the primary account holder for your AOL account. Click "Next."
Answer the AOL security questions, which will ask for the last four digits of your Social Security number.
Click "Next." At this point, your identity will be verified.
Type in a new password on the next screen.
You'll need to retype the password to confirm.
Click "Next" and then click "Continue."
At this point, you will be able to sign in to your account using the new password you created.

I had my AOL paid account hacked, I called Aol & canceled the paid aol, but thought I could still use a free aoll. How can I fix Thisi

You will need to apply for a new AOL account with a name and password. Don't use the name that you cancelled. It's blocked by AOL. Use a new name and new password.

Having trouble with password i am a new aim user every time i put password in says invalid help

If your password doesn't work
There are several reasons why your password might not work:
  • The password you entered isn't capitalized correctly. AIM passwords are case-sensitive, so if your password is "Password," entering "password" (note the lowercase "p") won't work.
  • (For AOL subscribers only) You've recently changed your AOL password and are trying to use your new password with the AIM service. Even if your AOL screen name is also your AIM screen name, changing the password for one doesn't affect the other.
You can have your password sent to your e-mail address by submitting your screen name at the following Web page: http://www.aol.com/aim/password.adp.

you call AOL on telephone, If you have an account, they will assign u a temp password. They should NOT be able to give u the password u forgot !!
A true AOL encounter would be they give u a NEW password. Then u can change if u want.
