Just bought a brand new battery for my camera in January...It's 100% charged, and when I go to turn it on, it stays on for about 5 seconds, then the screen goes black, it beeps, and it turns off with the lens still extended. I go to turn it back on, it beeps, the lens retracts, and it says ''RETRY POWER ON''. So, I once again turn it on, and the cycle just keeps repeating over and over.
Is there a way to fix this?

It's the focus lens gears. The often times get knocked out of alignment by an impact, or debris gets in there. This can be fixed, but Casio won't help. Hint...google my username. ;)

This occurs osmetimes when the connections are not completely clean. Wipe them off and then slowly and firmly insert it inthe charger.

This happened to me too, fiddle with the lens as its obviously stuck. Don't be too rough but try to figure out if it is slightly bent.
You will only be able to this if the lens is sticking out a little, enough to get a grip.

I called Parts Replacement at 1-800-223-2001 and they told me I would have to purchase the USB Cable for my casio exilim ex-z75 over the phone for $4 (part) + $4.95 (S&H) because it not sold ANYWHERE online. I was hoping to get a cheap cable for a few bucks, but this is better than nothing!
