I have a Samsung RS21DPSM side by side fridge under 2 years old and the other day a loud noise was coming from fridge Sounds like a fan as when you open fridge door it grinds to a stop) compartment and cannot get fridge temperature to go below 12 degrees on the digital display. Freezer compartment seems fine and cold and holding its set temperature! Can this be fixed without calling someone out? Is this Design Problem recognised by the Manufacturer and will they fix it for free. I'm wondering where you got this information. Thanks

i had the same problem with mine,and fixed it very easily in about 10 minutes all you do is take all the shelves and draws out, then remove the light cover (one screw at the top)then the bulbs,there are three screws on this panel top middel and bottom,take these out,now gently pull the panel off,behind are two plugs unplug these and completly remove the panel.
next unscrew the water chiller at the bottom of the fridge and lay it in the botttom,take the deoderizer cartreges out and remove the two screws out from behind there,just two more screws at the bottom of the panel,there should be two plugs at the top of the panel,unplug these and remove the panel completley ,if like me you should find the fan all iced up, some warm water on a spunge should remove this and the fan should move freely if the ice is severe then remove the fan motor and run the panel under some hot water untill the ice is gone,assuming the motor is'nt burnt out this should cure it.if you want to test it plug the panel back in also the light panel ,and hold the light switch after about 30 seconds to a minute the fan should run,now just put it back together and thats it....

This is a design fault that Samsung know about and rang us to arrange for a technician to come out and put it right.

Samsung refrigerator loud noise

if the fan is still running when you open the door , the I would be leaving that idea as a last resort
try this
get 2 taper door chocks and put one either side at the back of the fridge
push the cabinet sideways and slip one chock in a bit then do the other side
many noises are from the bottom plate that the compressor is mounted on from tapping on the floor and lifting it a bit stops the noise
the same as when you open the door the pressure on that plate is removed and so it stops hitting the floor

Your refrigerator has at least three motors with fans in addition to the compressor motor. The one most suspect is the one that passes air from the freezer to the refrigerator.

My Samsung RS21DPSM is not freezing, the fridge is working and the fan in the fridge is not loud. The freezer is not freezing.

Check the condenser fan in the compressor department. The fan motor is know to fail. The refrigerator and freezer temps will be cool but not cold. I would start there.

What would cause an intermittent buzzer noise from a Samsung RF217ACRS refrigerator? It otherwise works fine.

That's the icemaker cycling.Ifya don't have water connected,it's still think'n its filling trays and dumping frozen cubes and all that stuff.Turn off the icemaker.Rigger said that.C-YAAaaaaaaaaaaaa

I have a samsung 1 year old fridge that wont get cold at all. the compressor, evap and condensor fans all run and i installed a schrader valve on low side to try to vacuum and charge with no luck. it

Compressor should rapidly bring pressure down from standing pressure to running pressure when switched on. If no change, compressor not pumping. Make sure the line tap valve isn't leaking, and the gas you used was correctly charged.

Constant and fairly loud noise

thats typically an air circulating fan thats either faulty or something is touthing the blade. open up and see.

FREEZER SOUNDS VERY NOISY

that because the internal fan is hiting the ice or has bad bushings you can hear the noise just with the door close because when you open the door there is a switch the one turns off the internal fan so when you close the door it turn on the fan again if you wants to hear that with the door open just open the door and push the botton swich with your fingers and you'll hear the noise
