I have a kenmore sewing machine model #14812181, this machine has sewing with out any problems until now. forsome reason it started poping the bobbin and shuttle case out. I have checked the tensions and have cleaned and oiled the machine and I even replaced the needle.I checked the needle timing and reset a gap of 3/32 between the eye of the needle and the point of the shuttle. I am stumped please help if you know what the problem is. Thank You . Will [email protected]

You might need to clean the shuttle assembly.

1. Raise the needle bar to its highest position and remove the bobbin case.

2. Push levers sideways of the shuttle assembly and liftshuttle and shuttle race cove out by the center pin.

3. Clean the shuttle race of any lint or small particles of thread with a small brush.

4. Put a drop of oil on the center pin of the shuttle and on the shuttle race.

to reassemble, hold sjuttle by center pin and it carefull into assembly opposit the shuttle driver. Slip shuttle race cover into place. Snap the levers into position.

Occasionally remove the needle plate and clean feed dog with soft brush.

I hope that helps!

Bobbin thread won't engage.

The bobbin case is not in the shuttle.

Raise the needle to it's highest position.

Lift the lever on the back of the bobbin case and hold it open as you insert the case into the shuttle; arm on the case pointing up. You may have to turn a bit to the left or right - it will click when in place.

Problem inserting bobbin

Inserting bobbin into the bobbin case or problem inserting bobbin case into the shuttle?

Make sure the thread will feed from the bobbin clockwise and through the guide on the bobbin case.

Lift the lever on the bobbin case to hold the bobbin in place as you inset the bobbin case into the shuttle.

If the bobbin case for this machine as a "finger", this has to align with the opening in the shuttle.

If you cannot readily see this - move the bobbin case a bit to the left and right until it clicks into place.

sounds like it needs a service call. if you do not have a sewing repair man you use regularly to clean machine the local fabric store should know who you could call.
