SOURCE: LX7 Mouse False Low Battery Reading

I have found that sometime these Rodents seem to have a "Taste" for a certain "Type" of AA or AAA cell, one needs to get the Highest Discharge rate one can get. Often the "Brand" of Batts supplied are the "Only" ones that seem to work 100% alla time? I have had similar problems with customers B4, and I find the Varta series of battery to be great. & remember just because you bought them "New" don't mean the Batts are always "Fresh", get batts from a place that has a high turnover.

Hiya! Try using the buttons on the receiver and the button on the bottom of the mouse to re-sync them.

SOURCE: change battery

Hi,

If it is cordless, it has batteries. You can usually tell if the small red light is off on the bottom.

Most mice have the battrey compartment in the rear half of the top of the mouse. The rear half slides off. Something like this:

Yours will probably hold 2 AA batteries. If it is one of the smaller ones it may have the battery compartment underneath and take 2 AAA batteries.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for using Fixya.

I bought a microsoft arc mouse, wireless, with a USB transmitter, just a month ago and it was working perfectly, then suddenly and i mean SUDDENLY, stopped working, no reason it just happened, the light...

Hello, have you tried changing the batteries in your mouse? They are probably dead or dying and that is why it is not working. Also, try restarting the computer. If you cannot even use a regular wired usb mouse, there may be something going on. Try changing the batteries, restarting the computer, and using a regular usb and a regular PS/2 mouse.

My SYLVANIA mouse model # SY-040R is not working. It worked for about a month and then stopped working. It is a usb retractable optical mouse. Please Help!

optical mice suffer issues like anything else, just because it has no moving parts, doesn't mean it's never going to quit.Try the obvious, move the mouse to another port on this machine or another machine, to confirm the malfunction, after this I would encourage you to take your newly confirmed mistake back to the retailer, as it is only 30 days old.

My wireless Logitech mouse stopped performing. I changed batteries. the red light comes on even before I changed the battery. I have had it about 3 months. Wal Mart told me to look on the back of mouse. ...

So much for Wal-Mart tech support.
If your mouse is not working, first check the batteries to be sure they are good.
You wireless mouse has a USB "antenna" or sending unit. It may have a button on it that says "connect." If so, push it.
The mouse itself has a little button on the bottom that says "connect."
Push that one next. It should now work.
If it doesn't, switch USB ports and try again.
And no, we don't charge for this answer.

LOGITECH COMPUTER MOUSE JUST STOPED WORKING

On the bottom of the mouse is a small door and it takes two AA batteries.
Normal 0 If the mouse doesn't have a little door to open on the bottom, then try this. Just behind the Left and Right keys where your hand rests, apply firm pressure down on the cover and slide to the rear. Some mouse manufactures have used this type of access to replace the batteries.
Hope this helps. Bud

Mouse only works for a few seconds and then stops.

have you changed the batteries recently? Wireless mice seem to eat batteries faster. I have a Dell wireless mouse. It will work fine for months and then nothing. That's when I know to change out the batteries. If your batteries are fresh, make sure they are seated in their slots securely.
