SOURCE: LX7 Mouse False Low Battery Reading
I have found that sometime these Rodents seem to have a "Taste" for a certain "Type" of AA or AAA cell, one needs to get the Highest Discharge rate one can get. Often the "Brand" of Batts supplied are the "Only" ones that seem to work 100% alla time? I have had similar problems with customers B4, and I find the Varta series of battery to be great. & remember just because you bought them "New" don't mean the Batts are always "Fresh", get batts from a place that has a high turnover.

Hiya! Try using the buttons on the receiver and the button on the bottom of the mouse to re-sync them.

2. rare case the mouse has gone bad needs replacement
SOURCE: change battery
Hi,
If it is cordless, it has batteries. You can usually tell if the small red light is off on the bottom.
Most mice have the battrey compartment in the rear half of the top of the mouse. The rear half slides off. Something like this:
Yours will probably hold 2 AA batteries. If it is one of the smaller ones it may have the battery compartment underneath and take 2 AAA batteries.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for using Fixya.
