The fan in the right-hand oven has started making a terrible noise when the oven is switched on. As this oven only works in fan-assisted mode, I can't use it. Can I buy a new fan and replace it myself, or is that a bad idea?
This noise probably means that the fan is about to stop working, this is what happened to mine. You can easily buy replacement fan off E-bay (it seems easier to find the right fan on e-bay that any of the confusing supplier sites). You then just need to remove the inside oven back and the outside electrical to replace the fan.
Rangemaster cookers come with a standard 2 year warranty so why have you people not been back to rangemaster for your in warranty repairs ??? By the way this was a massive batch of faulty fans that were sent to Rangemaster by a supplier, the supplier has promptly been dropped by Rangemaster (18 months ago) who now fit German EBM fans, some of the best in the business.
Hi redstar 70, we have a Toledo 90 that has just started this issue, really noisy fan, we brought this in 2009, do you think we may have a case for rangemaster to replace this if they had faulty fans? Where did you get your information? Thanks Bob.

I have a GE oven with fan that has become incredibly noisy? I have no idea what to do.
I also have a very noisy fan in right oven. It is only 15 months old. Did you replace yours yourself or get rangemaster in?? Thanks Sarah
Same problem - 18 month old rangemaster toledo 110 developed loud knocking/grinding noise in main oven and 2 weeks later the fan locked solid. Then within days the secondary oven also started making the same noise and within a couple of days that ceasep up too.
New motors now on order at about £60 each plus VAT and fitting. I'm not sure if it's a DIY job to fit new fans.
Whatever, it's a dissappointment that the oven has packed up so soon, suggesting a quality probems with these components.
i have same problem with my rangemaster toledo after about 20 months one fan made a noise then the other now its redundant until we can find a solution to fix it. i took the back cover off but i'm not a cooker technician so didn't have a clue what to do.

My rangemaster pro 90 has this problem, the fan is so noisy that I cannot bear to use the oven. Can a replacement fan be fitted by a diy type or does it need special tools to remove the fan motor. The actual oven is too heavy to move to investigate and I don't want to attempt it if it is not reasonably easy to fix.
yeah, my rangemaster 90 dual fuel stainless done the same , both ovens packed in after 15 months, wont touch rangemaster ever again
