My straightener was plugged in i pulled it out before pressing the off button and the outlet sparked. when i plugged it back in it wouldn't work. How would i fix this ?

Test the c.breaker reset from the wall if use c.breaker wall, or from the service panel c.breaker. Some times the power cord has c.breaker to reset the button red too. God bless you

Do any other devices or appliances spark when you plug them into the same outlet? If so, you may have a wiring problem, and you should have an electrician inspect the wiring as soon as possible. If the iron is the only thing that sparks when you plug it into the outlet, there may be a wiring problem inside the iron, or the ground wire may not be connected. Irons are not generally expensive; you should replace the iron for safety's sake.
