My ikonvert digital converter box will not load the channels after a channel scan and I can't find a password to reset it.

your going to either buy a share, Y-cable to run both tvs, or switch box to select the tv you want to watch a that time

the connector on the tv has to match the connectors on the converter box.
just remember you will be watch same channel at the same time

you could also leave everything hooked up, than get Y-connector and put on the output of the box run line to each tv your still be watching the same channel without doing a lot of work and time

Do a factory reset and see if that helps!

press menu on remote/go to System/select Factory reset/ input password/ "000000" six zero's....and that is all you do.

then try to re-scan.

If you are feeding the signal from your digital converter into the TV antenna input, I would input the converters signal to the TVs video input instead. I am assuming your converter has a video output signal and left & right audio so you will need cables for your audio also. If your converter has only rf output for the TV tuner input it is generally on either channel 3 or 4 and there may be a switch to set this. It is possible that when the TV scanned for channels the converter was off and it did not find a signal on 3 or 4. If you can get the TV to re-scan, be sure the converter is turned on and on an active channel. All your channel selection should be via the converter after that and the TV simply stays on 3 or 4. I would suggest looking in to getting the original remote. Try partstore.com and see if they have one for your model.

turn on the converter box and then scan for channels on the tv. Channel 3 should be picked up by the tv as having a signal.

there are 2 coaxial inputs on the back of your tv. plug the antenna into the digital coax. with your remote, do a fac reset: menu, setup, fac reset, all settings, passcode 3355. after the reset, hit input, select digital tv. perfprm a chan scan: menu, setup, channel scan, antenna. this should solve the problem.

The antenna must be hooked up to the converter box. The better the antenna, the better your reception will be.

Not everyone in the country will be in range of digital signals. Digital signals have a shorter range than analog signals do right now. It is possible (but unlikely) that you are not currently in range of any digital signals.

So make sure you are set up like this - Antenna--converter box--Television. Then scan for channels. You should still pick up any analog signals while the box is hooked up, you will just view them the same way you do now, by changing the TV station rather than the converter box station.
