I have a Comet BXD 2525 G pressure washer pump which is giving me some problem. (Maybe) I hook the water up to pump and the pressure hose up to the pump, turn on the water and the water sprays out of the water connection at the pump. I check the hose to see if it was clog ok and the next was a the water connection ok. It's like the water is not going int the pump. When i start the pressure up the water come out of gun but no pump running like it should. The next thing i was going to look at is the unloader because this has to do with water pressure but i wanted to ask you first. Check oil and it is clean no silver in oil like worn parts. The pump was working fine did a wall stop working after that. No noise or any problem I also thought maybe something could be stuck like a valve on the pump. could you please return this e-mail thank you
There is a rubber gasket there the water come out of the outlet hose not the inlet that hose has no leaksThere is a rubber gasket there the water come out of the outlet hose not the inlet that hose has no leaks

www.cometpump.com/_images/support/Pump_Repair_Manual.pdfLUBRICATION: Make sure crankcase is filled with Comet Pump oil. Running this pump without oil will cause damage and void any warranties. Change the pump ..
Things to check:
1) is water coming out of the bottom of the pump or is the oil in the crankcase high level and milky yellow. If so your seals are bad.
2) Your check valves might not be seating properly. A couple of fouled check vavles will cause either no pressure or pulsing pressure. A good inlet water strainer keeps foreign matter out of valves. But valves do wear out and get build up that keeps them from working right.
3) Your unloader valve might be worn or fouled. Bad unloader would usually show as low pressure ( but more than hose pressure) or low volume out the trigger nozzle.
out the drain plug ? Sight glass window ? Under the pump where the crankcase meets the pump head?
tighten plug, replace oring on sight glass or replace low pressure seals if near the pump
It could be that the linkage between the engine and pump is broken. Try the key on the drive shaft. This is a piece of metal that locks the pump shaft and the engine shaft. If it still pumps water the problem probably lies elsewhere.
The red knob is to regulate the pressure. The soap siphon should be hooked up to the pump at the high pressure outlet and the pressure hose hooks up to it. You do just have to drop the tube into your soap solution but I recommend you dilute the soap down as the siphon usually sucks the solution up fairly fast. The trick to making it work is to use the low pressure, soap tip on your wand. They are black and help fan the water/soap out but give no resistance to the water coming out. If you are using a high pressure tip, usually red, yellow, white or green, there will be too much back pressure in the hose and siphon attachment for it to **** up any solution.
Hi this could be the oil and pump seals worn. Also make sure that you don,t have the transit plug in or the pump cannot breath. It should have a air vented dipstick.
Hi Is the pump working? Some pressure washers need to suck the water out of a container, not pressure fed from a hose. Check the filter for blockage. Regaeds Phillip
